The only way is up. Rooting for these players to prove people wrong. Excited to see them play.

Granted, it's early days (and innings), but Oregon is up 6-0 in the 3rd against Kansas. It looks like ML's prediction of a good hitting team may just be true. Dail, the pitcher from VT, is pitching with authority. Kansas may not be a good team, but it's a good start for the Ducks.

Freshmen hitting the snot out of the ball.

Oregon 8 Kansas 1   Top of 5th

This is a good start.  Build from here even if it is Kansas.

Close to run-ruling Kansas

If Rachel Cid goes deep here, she will be 4 for 4 with 7 RBI and 2 HR... and Allee Bunker will be 0 for 3 with FOUR runs scored (I have never seen THAT stat line)

Sometimes adversity gives a team more to play for. It’s only one game but this team is going to fight its way through this season and definitely going to be stronger for it. And they have stud players on this team despite being so young. I’ll also say that Haley Cruse is one impressive young woman for the way she has handled her interviews. She has really stepped up as a leader.

Allie Bunker is now 0 for 4 with four runs scored... 4 4 0 0

What a cool boxscore line

All the very best to the athletes in their great theater this season, and the fans on this board, which has provided me such enjoyment over the years.

You’re a good, good man, SS. No one who truly knows you could ever say any different.

Noticed Jasmine Sievers was not in the line up for either game today. I thought she was a shoo-in for a starting spot. Wonder if she’s injured?
