Right! Easton is just compacted everywhere! I hate the brick buildng at Hillenbrand as well.

I agree Jay, Stanford isn't that bad. it doesn't have the supporting facilities (concessions, roof over the infield seats and covered hitting area). Wouldn't take a massive amount of money to add all that and more seats. Although I haven't been to a game where there was a big crowd. I question the fan support Stanford gets. Cal doesn't even come close to Stanford. At least all the seats at Stanford are stadium seats.

As I said, I haven't been there. But the coach I was talking too was talking about the facilities all up, not just the stadium. Practice facilities, weight rooms, locker rooms, support staff etc. The totality of the things recruits would see when touring the school.

Totally understand. Worth making the trip if you get the chance even with the state of the stadiums. But both are missing those things, Stanford just has a better stadium. I’d prefer Stanford to Cal 5 days out of 7.

<< It doesn't matter that White wasn't around. Candrea won his first in his third try. Alameda won her first in her 3rd try, Gasso won her first 6 years into her Oklahoma job, Perez won her first title in her 3rd year as hc. >> (Janie)

Janie - You are mixing up two different things in your comment above.
1. How many times was a coach in the WCWS before they won the title.
2. How many seasons as a head coach before they won a title.

Gasso won the title on her first trip to the WCWS.
Perez won it on her 2nd trip.
Alameda won it on her 3rd trip.
Candrea won it on his 4th trip.
Tim Walton won it on his 6th trip.

Mike White has taken his team to the WCWS five times - and has not won it yet.
Walton came through on his 6th, maybe White will as well.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Perez won her title in her 4th season as head coach at UCLA.
Gasso won her first title in her 6th season at Oklahoma.
Candrea won his first title in his 6th season at Arizona.
Walton won his first title in his 9th season at Florida.
Alameda won it in her 10th season at Florida State.

Mike White had 9 seasons at Oregon.

Why so mad Janie?  Truth hurts?  Or, your has-been old-hag Okie State career getting further and further back in your rearview mirror?

Henry, you are splitting hairs, and I absolutely know you understood my point with the brickhead 3lt.  I get tired of people talking sh*t about Candrea like he has done nothing in his career or like he is a has been.  I assure you, he is not.  None of it matters as far as how long ago it was or how different the landscape was at the time, or who else was coaching at the time.

The point is/was/will be that Candrea made softball what is is today and people should absolutely understand this and treat him accordingly.

Az had some very crappy things happen to their pitching recruits starting in 2008/2009 when the stud Amanda Williams flunked out before she even arrived on campus.  Then Kenzie Fowler got called for 21 ip's in the 2010 wcws, which changed her delivery moving forward, and she was never the same pitcher after that.

Then the real life soul searching tragedy of Breanne Matthews hanging herself at age what,  age 16, in 2010, her sophomore year.

How the fu*k does a program (with a coach who makes sure his his girls are ALWAYS spiritually healthy and sound) recover from that?  How long does it take?

I'd say Candrea has done a MASTERFUL job of maintaining at the very least the expected super regional appearances.

3lt...kiss my ASS, man!

And Southie...no babe, I don't see my age or my softball days as a hindrance or a wistful rear view mirror thing.  I LOVE the game, love going to the wcws, and love this forum for the most part...but you, my dear, are a first rate cocksucker.

Are you serious?  Did you see the unprovoked comment she made toward me, and the use of vulgarity?  I didn't have to stoop that low to convey  my point.

You just went lower. Being a bigger man and a gentleman is obviously dead, at least in the circles you run in.

Interesting to see if he can keep his regional undefeated streak alive. Going to be a hard road to hoe, but I am sure if he accomplishes it, it would be the longest such streak with more than one team

On my PC I can't tell whether your post was directed to Terp or 1Janie.

No worries, we'll burn that bridge when we get to it.
