Surprising to me that they would have her played that shallow.
Wind blowing in at 25-30 mph...but I still agree

That player looks pretty shook up (injured). I'd take her out of the game for sure.

Mary Iakopo just hit a ball into a 30 mph wind for a HR that the CF didn't make one step of movement for

Tremendous game by the Duck pitcher.
And their hitters did pretty well also.

Kleist's line tonight was 7IP 3H (all singles) 0R 10K 0BB 82 pitches, 59 strikes. It doesn't get much prettier than that, especially against a top 10 team! Great to see a fellow Wisconsinite doing so awesomely!

I mean the idea of the Pac not being able to spring to get FOUR games covered a night. The SEC has 8-plus games covered per night on the weekends.

THAT was what I meant was minor league. The announcers were actually pretty decent.

Only having a backstop webcam was untenable. Not for a conference that is in competition with the SEC for recruits and marketshare

On the Sanders double to RF...
the camera never puller out to try and show where the ball was going.
We just got to see the infield - and could see that Sanders was pulling into second base with a stand up double.
But we didn't get even a glimpse of the outfield - or the fielder trying to make a play of the ball.
If they would just pull back and show more of the field - when the ball is hit to the outfield...
that would be a good improvement.

Man... after watching this display of great softball by Oregon against a highly rated Arizona State team...
I am really looking forward to their game vs. Oklahoma...
and their series vs. Washington.

The two nicknames I am most familiar with are "Hammer"  and  "Bad Henry".

Is there a nickname that he got in the minor leagues - right after signing with the Braves... that I am missing?

After he signed they called him "Pork Chops."

Henry got the nickname, "Pork Chops" during his first season in the Braves organization...
because it was what he ordered seemingly for every meal.
A teammate of Aaron's during that season said that Hank ordered pork chops for three meals a day - and had a double order for breakfast.

The 3 pitchers with Hispanic blood flowing thru their veins lead the Pac-12 in wins, complete games and Ks.
Hell yes!

"Hammering Hank" is the nickname I recall from when the Braves were in Milwaukee. I think "the Hammer" came later (at Atlanta?).

Here's another one. What do Dallas QBs Roger Staubach & Craig Morton have in common with Aaron?
