 O WINS SERIES 2-1 ,
G pitching great of late wins first game, Macha not so great loses 2nd game ,  3 rd game close with O bats
pulling it out against G. O pitching great as usual but ASU wins 1.

For Lefty's sake – and the sake of every other poster on this board – I hope you're right. [smile]

Series boasts three of the 10 pitchers in the country with a K-to-BB ratio of at least 8 to 1
Kleist: 12.18-1
Juarez: 8.04-1
Elish: 8.00-1

So... how do you think your Quackers will do in this weekend's series..?
Emptynester made a reasonable prediction...  how do you think it will go..?

Since you brought up k/BB ratio...
I just have to mention that Oklahoma's #3 pitcher, Mariah Lopez, is at 15.25 to 1.

Yeah, but that doesn't count, of course, because Mariah's came against inferior competition.

All the stats COUNT.
But when comparing player's who play against different competition...
it is wise to take into consideration how far apart their differing levels of competition might be.
There is no precise way to evaluate exactly how much that should effect those "raw" stats...
but being aware that some amount of adjustment is likely appropriate - is a good thing to know.

I've said it before: Henry is a great fan and a really good guy.

But I'm afraid he wouldn't recognize humor if it ran up and bit him on the arse. [smile]

…And another thing: If Henry finds himself painted into a corner, it's because he put himself there.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment, Lefty.

I'm watching the Oregon at Arizona State game on the ASU live stream...

The second batter hits a fly ball into LF - but the camera follows the batter out of the box - all the way as she rounds first and is retired.
Never saw where the ball went - or who caught it.

Boy... Lindvall did not play that ground ball very well. Took her forever to get a throw off.
What did you think, 3LT..?

Hit or Error?

Looked like they were playing Sanders a little too shallow.
Surprising to me that they would have her played that shallow.

Amazing how often bunt plays turn into errors - and runs scored.

LF played that ball nicely off the wall and made an excellent throw into second base.
Two well hit balls by the Ducks in that inning.

It was a deep backhand. Lauren usually makes it. Probably still a hit.

I wish I could see a replay of Mack bunt. I had thought she had it beat, bad throw or not
