So living in the metroplex (dfw), we really only have one team to root for hometown wise and that would be UTA. Kristie Fox was really starting to turn the program around and did a pretty good job, when she left for UNLV, they brought in Peejay Brun who is hitting the ground running. But, big but, now they only have one pitcher on their roster. What does a division 1 team do with one pitcher and classes starting back in less than three days. Just saying, I’m a little nervous for them.

They can always park an ice maker in the dugout.

Stanford had shortstops and outfielders pitching a few years ago.... really, it is amazing that their record wasn't even worse. Tough kids

Maybe you should start cheering for UTD.  After all they did win the ASC conference tourney last year.

Who lets a program get to the point of having only one pitcher? One or both of those coaches (new or old) should be ashamed of themselves.

Graduation, you prepare for. Transfers are generally the program's fault. They should be preparing to have at least 4 pitchers at all times in case things go crazy.

There is no way there is one pitcher on the roster. Sandbagging, but what for?

This blurb was written a month ago on the UTA website.  Did one of them transfer?

As far as newcomers go for the UTA softball team, there are two standouts. Pitchers Michal Hylton and JoJo Valencia. Both bring a strong presence to the mound and work great with pitching coach Charlotte Morgan and buy into the program. They are the only two pitchers as of now for the spring and show that they can compete with any team they face.

On Twitter they just announce a mid semster transfer pitcher. Coach Brun was a VERY LATE hire. Look for good things from UTA down the road.

I saw that! Phew! Was worried about them. That Michael girl from creighton left , but man I am excited about coach Brun! She is so positive and a breath of fresh air compared to other cohesive in the country. Always positive, I like her already and this late of a transfer, no matter where form, tlells me she knows how to make do.
