Oklahoma finished their fall season last night with a ten inning game against North Texas and won 16-0.

Paige Parker made her only fall appearance, starting the game for the Sooners. She came out rusty and walked three batters in the first inning. But she got out of the bases loaded jam with a strikeout to end the threat.

Oklahoma scored five runs in the bottom of the first. Knighten had a two run double. Pendley singled in Knighten. Lundberg doubled in two more.

The Sooners added four more runs in the second inning. Aviu singled in the 6th run; Knighten hit another two run double; and Pendley singled in Knighten again.  9-0 after two.

Lundberg singled in another run in the third. 10-0.

In the 4th, Clifton drove in a run with a single and Pendley came through with her third RBI single of the game. 12-0.

Wodach entered the game and knocked in two with a double in the 6th. Lynnsie Elam came in and had an RBI single. 15-0 after 6.

Wodach finished the scoring with an RBI single in the 7th. 16-0.

Neither team scored in the last three innings.

Here are the pitching stats for Oklahoma...

Pitcher ...... IP .... H .... R .... BB .... K
Parker ...... 2.2 ... 1 .... 0 ..... 3 ...... 2
Conrad ..... 3.1 ... 0 .... 0 ..... 0 ...... 2
Mendes .... 1.0 ... 0 .... 0 ..... 0 ...... 1
Lopez ...... 3.0 ... 1 .... 0 ..... 0 ...... 7

The Oklahoma pitching staff gave up just two singles and 3 BB while striking out 12. After Parker gave up three BB and a single in her stint - the rest of the staff gave up just one single and no other base runners over the last 7.1 innings. They retired 21 consecutive batters between a two out single in the second inning - and a lead off single in the 10th.

These are the Oklahoma batters who scored or drove in a run...

RF Mendes - 5110 - 1B, K
2B Clifton - 4311 - 1B, HB, BB, K
LF Aviu - 5221 - 2B, 1B

I tried to explain that at the very bottom of that post with this:

3133 = 3 AB, 1 Run, 3 Hits, 3 RBI

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

5110 would be 5 at bats, 1 run scored, 1 hit, 0 RBI

4311 would be 4 at bats, 3 runs scored, 1 hit, 1 RBI
