They do post them under “game notes”. It’s just for people intelligent enough to find them. 😉

Eventually, everyone's stats are posted on the NCAA site.  It's just too  early in the season.

Yeah for each game...major pain in the ass just so her girls won't see their own stats.

Same annoying crap with Washington.

<< Okay, my bad I missed Oregon but outside of Oregon, ASU, and Arizona.... who on that schedule out of conference will challenge them? >> (SballfanNBama)

Bama - You listed Arizona State (#19 in ESPN poll, #20 in FPN poll, #23 in NFCA poll) as a team that might give Oklahoma some challenges.
I will re-print that part of your post here: "I only see Arizona and Arizona State maybe giving OU some challenges the out of conference."

If you see ASU as a possible challenge... then why not Tulsa or BYU..?
They were both ranked at almost exactly the same spot as ASU in pre-season polls.

Tulsa (#20 in three polls)
BYU (#19 in NFCA poll & #22 in ESPN poll).

And these other teams' rankings were not far from that ranking level...
Ohio State (#25 in CSM poll, #26 in ESPN poll)
South Carolina (#23 in FPN poll, #28 in NFCA poll, #29 in ESPN poll)
North Carolina (#28 in ESPN poll)
Oregon State (#28 in FPN poll)
Mississippi State (#29 in NFCA poll).

<< Perhaps PG sent OU's schedule to Bama by telegraph. We all know that technology is outdated, but it may have been the only available option (it is Alabama, after all).
Just kidding, SEC partisans. [wink]  >> (scrybe)

Funny stuff, scrybe.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

<< I personally believe it will take a miracle for the Sooners to three peat. It's only happened, what, once in D1 history? >> (scrybe)

They have as good a chance or better...
than they did in 2016 and 2017.

I'd say a better chance this year than in either of those two years.

So... it clearly would not be a "miracle" if they did win this year.
If OK winning the title in 2018 deserves the classification of "miracle"... then that word has lost a lot of its meaning.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

<< But I look forward to another great season and, hopefully, another appearance in the WCWS for the Sooners. Good luck, everyone. >> (scrybe)

Me too.

<< I wouldn’t expect PC to be where PL was yet. PL had had considerably more innings against college hitters when she arrived at OU. Also, there is both a mental and physical “unscrewing” (i apologize for being so blunt) that pitchers coming out of the Mizzou program have to accomplish before they can become what PL is now. It takes a minute. Also, if i had my guess, I’d bet that OU is considering a possible redshirt for PC. >> (CoachZ)

All excellent points, CoachZ.

<< 28, 29, 37 and 43 are ranked? lol
Vintage Hammer >> (3LT)

The teams are "ranked" by the point totals they receive.
So the next best point total after the team ranked 25th...
IS the 26th ranked team.
And the next best point total after that...
IS the 27th ranked team.
And the next best point total after that...
IS the 28th ranked team.

North Carolina did in fact receive the 28th highest number of points in the ESPN poll.

You do not have to stop at the top 25.

Oklahoma is trailing Boston University 2-0 after Boston scores two in the top of the 2nd.

Mariah Lopez struck out the first two batters and then a ground out to 1st base - in the first inning. But after retiring the first batter in the second inning, she gave up a line drive into right-center that Mendes dove for and had the ball in her glove - until the impact with the ground knocked it loose... which resulted in a double. The next batter hit a sinking liner into LF that Aviu made a nice play on for the second out.  With 2 outs and the runner on 2nd, the next batter ripped a line shot right at Aviu... but it sailed just out of reach over her head for a double (1-0). The next batter blooped a ball into shallow CF for a single and the 2nd run scored (2-0). The following hitter hit a one hopper into RF - putting runners on 1st and 2nd. Gasso came out and took Lopez out of the game. Lowary came in got a ground ball to 1st for the third out.

The Sooners are battling the flu - with more than half of the team feeling poorly, including coach Gasso and coach Sara G.
Both Lopez and Lowary have been ill.

Oklahoma came back to score one in the bottom of the second. Romero was HBP, Pendley BB, Aviu lined out to LF, Arnold lined out to LF. Then with two outs - they tried a double steal - and the throw got by third base into LF and Romero scored. Wodach then lined another shot right at the LF for the third out. They had three straight line shots hit right at the LF for the 3 outs of the 2nd inning.

Oklahoma trails 1-2 after two innings.

Mendes leads off the 3rd with a single - then advances to second on a WP. Clifton doubles into LC to score Mendes (game tied 2-2).
Knighten go-6.
Alo doubles in Clifton (3-2 OK).
Pitcher change...

Reporting that people are battling the flu...
hardly equates to claiming that the umpires are out to get you.

Kids in EVERY game is battling injuries that no one here knows about.

They all battle through it.

A real shame they don't play a WCWS in Florida or California, as much as I love OKC, just to have karma run over your dogma, then back up, and do it again

Let me get this straight...
You see any information on a team's players regarding an illness or an injury -
to be nothing but lame excuses.

Seems like a bit of a weird take on that... to me.
But whatever floats your boat...

Supremely tired of seeing trolling/derogatory posts from 3LT (aka hater) in the Oklahoma fan discussion thread. Take putting down the 2 time defending champs back to the Florida threads and leave us in peace, please

With one out - Boston had a runner on 1st with their third baseman, Killebrew (yes, she is related to Harmon), coming up. Being a RH hitter, OK went into their Lowary shift. Killebrew clobbered a deep drive into LF that looked like it might get out... but it hit the wall. Pendley, playing CF, sprinted over to pick up the ball and made a great throw to Romero - who made a solid relay throw to the plate to get the runner trying to score from 1st.

So... the Lowary shift is defeated - but results in an out.

The score is still 3-2 OK in the 6th now.

Top of 6th: Parker comes in to relieve Lowary after a runner reaches 2nd with no outs. Paige gets a grounder right back to her - but throws the ball into the runner going down the line and the runner scores from 2nd. Tie game 3-3. The batter ends up at third. Then a SF to CF and Boston leads 4-3.

Boston leads 4-3 as Oklahoma comes to bat in the bottom of the 6th.
Oklahoma has left the bases loaded in the 3rd and the 4th...
and had runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out in the 5th - but did not score.

In the 5th - Pendley led off with a 1B. Aviu followed with a single...
and as Pendley went to third, Aviu took second base as the throw went to third.
Then Arnold grounded right back to the pitcher for the 1st out.
Wodach grounded out to the SS who looked back the runner at third.
Mendes blasted a deep drive that was caught right at the wall to end the inning.
