Jayrot,

It's not acting. It's real fear.

In hindsight, it’s biggest impact might have been forging the nerves of a certain freshman pitcher. 👍

Yep!  Granted I think PP was good from the get go, but it definitely fortified her.  I'd also say it was the beginning of PG realizing again that she needed a #2 (a la MG).

That’s the same year she threw her backups in game 2 just so she didn’t risk having to throw PP in all 3 games. Think she might’ve realized that mistake from throwing PP all 3 games of super in 2015? I think it might’ve been a different outcome if Bama had only seen PP in two games during the 2015 SR.

<< some years you get auburn, some years you get bama >> (3LT)

Some years you get Alexa Osorio. She is a great one.

Btw... I'd bet if you asked Alexa which batter struck more fear into her than any other during her time as a NCAA pitcher...
the answer would be Lauren Chamberlain.

If you ask Alexa you’re talking to your Amazon thing..... It’s Alexis

Actually if you ask her now, it might be Shay Knighten ... or Scroggins.  Either way that CA Angels connection paid off for them.

Osorio is a great pitcher, no doubt. IMO she has a better rise ball than both Barnhill and Parker. It's ironic that Alexis was able to beat OU when she had to face Chamberlain in the Sooners' lineup, but lost both games she pitched with Shay Knighten in the lineup.

If only LC had had weekly batting practice against AO!

In case anyone is wondering...
Alo has hit monster home runs in her first two at bats vs. Arizona State and Oklahoma leads 6-2 now going into the bottom of the third.

Parker is now 5-0 with a 0.00 ERA. She struck out 10 in 5.1 IP tonight.

Alo has to bat higher than 5th, IMHO. Pendley not enough protection in the six spot right now. Alo hit two bombs her first two at bats then saw maybe one strike her last two ABs.

I'd go Mendes, Clifton, Alo, Knighten, Romero, Pendley, Aviu, Wodach, Arnold.

Two Paiges dominant tonight in 7-2 win vs. ASU. Both time unearned. I think the two of them had 13 or 14 Ks.

Parker Conrad pitches her first as a sooner in the sixth inning with bases loaded and gets them out of the inning. Patty really playing everyone in the exhibition. Lots of good experience going around.

I only caught the last three innings of ou Japan. How many pitchers did on use? I'm back on the OU bandwagon...as long as they're not playing UW. Go dawgs!

I think they used Lowary for 2 IP, Lopez for 2 IP, Mendes for the 5th and Parker Conrad for the 6th & 7th.
The Sooners led 3-1 going into the bottom of the 7th...
but a couple of errors by the back ups at second base and catcher led to Japan scoring two runs to tie the game.
They ended the game at a 3-3 tie.

Yes... that's right. It was five pitchers. Melanie Olmos also pitched an inning in there somewhere.
I think Olmos started the 6th and then Conrad came in to get the last out of the 6th.
Sooners got HRs from Aviu and Wodach.

Interesting that Parker Conrad got into the game against Team Japan and apparently did pretty well.
