Oklahoma is the pick of Big XII coaches to win conference championship:

http://www.soonersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=31000&ATCLID=211694170

Coaches couldn't vote for their own team. Sooners got 36 first-place votes; Baylor got the other vote -- obviously, Patty Gasso's. The coaches' predicted order of finish (total points):

1. Oklahoma (36)
2. Baylor (31)
3. Texas (24)
4. Oklahoma State (23)
5. Kansas (12)
6. Iowa State (11)
7. Texas Tech (10)

I might, too. I think Coach Kenny has things going the right way in Stoolwater. They're going to miss Brandi Needham, though. Shippy is the real deal.

Shippy is definitely the real deal. I think the problem with OSU is they don’t really have a true Ace in the circle.

No way on that SEC post. The way they get their confidence flying high during the Big 12 sked has been huge for them

As if softball is any part of the consideration for any school's conference move.

Ah, Lefty, you're already in mid-season form! [smile]

I think the Sooners would be competitive for the very top of the SEC, don't you? And, given Baylor's WCWS appearance and Okie State handing Florida a near-death experience at the SR last year, I'm not so sure the Big XII is an easy on-ramp to the postseason.

Looking forward to another season talking softball!

Your one liner above gave me a good laugh, PH2.

Can you imagine any school where the softball program was the #1 sports priority.

*That would be something. That really would be something.

*Two points for anyone who can name the author of the lyrics in my last line above.

Ou is a big moneymaker in athletics, they could move to sec. just depends on if the sec wants them.

Listen....those three teams are all you have.

It looked as if Kansas would make another good one, but they have fallen again. Texas is just sad. I actually miss Texas being competitive. Luna is greatly missed

OU would dominate the Sec like they always do.

Um, well ... 8-2 including 5-0 postseason.

Still, I wouldn't say "dominate." I think they'd do pretty well. They're on par with Florida, probably a little better than the next tier (Auburn, Tenn, Bama, LSU), but not a whole lot.

Yeah, I mean if OU played any of those three in a three-game series at a neutral site, I think they'd take two of the games.

yeah I guess that's pretty reasonable but I wouldn't be shocked by a sweep.

Congratulations, upontop. I always enjoy meeting another Beatles fan.
But you only get one point because you spelled McCartney incorrectly.
