Death panels and Government takeover of healthcare.  Two Politifact "lies of the year" by Republicans.  Why do they do this?  My guess is to hopefully win elections.

Obama is a foreigner, millions of illegals voted, Hillary will be locked up.  Why do Republicans tell falsehoods?  My guess is to hopefully win elections.

No, the Right told Americans they would have to buy insurance from the Federal Government and see a doctor provided by the Government.  Obama had to counter the lies and tell Americans it wasn't true.

So he lied to combat the lies.

And now you are literally the only one who won’t admit he was lying.

Have fun having discussions with yourself - it does no good to engage with people who lie.

The Right talked of death panels who might ultimately determine care.  They spoke of medical care that many not be authorized.  Many implied we would have to purchase our insurance from the exchange.  Lots of misinformation was being spread by the Right during the healthcare debate.

In any event, we have made our case.  Politifact pointed out two lies by the Right and one where they said Obama lied.  We'll let the readers determine which they want to believe.  It's interesting as to why the Right would want to point out a "lie of the year" made against Obama when they were the proud owners of two "lies of the year" on the same healthcare debate.  I guess if this is a contest, the Right lied more about Obamacare than Obama did.  Red team, blue team.

PS:  Let's show the readers where we stand.  I disagree with Politifact on their choice of Obama lying.  Are you in agreement with Politifact when it comes to the two Republican lies they called out?  At least let the reader know if you always agree with Politifact or only when they call out Democrats.

bureaucrats are directing care now.  They control the purse strings.  That directs care.  Since users are forced from $2k up to $10k in premium payments while deductables went from $250 to $4k, they are very much squeezing the working man out of the health system.

For instance used to be you would have a significant back or shoulder pain, you would go get that looked at.  Now you are going to skip it, so you don't loose hundreds.

That money is now redirected from healthy and hard working in our society and going directly to the drug addled layabouts.

Now everyone sees your lying nature.  You first said the right told Americans.  You then changed it to they implied.

Which is it, liar?

Several on the Right offered up many misleading statements regarding Obamacare.  I gave several examples of the type of things they were saying.  President Obama had to reinforce the fact citizens would not have to buy insurance from the exchanges.  He did that because some on the Right said otherwise.

You didn't answer my question but your first sentence is legit - if there was ever an expert on making misleading statements, it's you.

Precisely why I’m done with him on this issue. Obama lied, now he’s lying to cover Obama’s lies. It’s fun to sit back and watch him spin

Two threads going with Dewey’s BS. Talk about the rabbit hole.
I made the mistake today to try and counter his propaganda with a real world example and he still says it never happened.’

Since we know that the leftists are really trying to implement single payer, let's get an update on the fantastic health of the UK's socialized healthcare system.

The Koch brothers also think US tariffs on imports are unfair to foreigners. These guys are globalists that could give a rats ass about American workers.

Um.....  oops...... ???

(Can't confirm this - I looked for this tweet on their Twitter page and can't find it - probably deleted, assuming it's legit.  And, obviously, polls like this are unscientific.  Still funny for F&F, though.)

Fox & Friends Poll Designed to Discredit Medicare for All Explodes in Their Face

"A majority say yes to healthcare for all! The benefits: Guaranteed medical care, dental, vision and hearing, for all Americans, free at the point-of-care. The savings: $2 trillion over 10 years."

When President Donald Trump's favorite right-wing television program "Fox & Friends" launched a Twitter pollon Tuesday asking whether the benefits of Medicare for All "outweigh the costs," they likely didn't expect 73 percent of the nearly 32,000 respondents to answer yes—but that's precisely what happened.

"Bernie Sanders' 'Medicare for all' bill estimated to cost $32.6 trillion, new study says. Would the benefits outweigh the costs?" the survey asked, referencing a recent Koch Brothers-funded study that found Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-Vt.) universal healthcare program would save $2 trillion over ten years—a fact that "Fox & Friends" conveniently neglected to mention in both its poll and its coverage of the new analysis.

Despite the misleading framing "Fox & Friends" deployed, the results of the unscientific survey were overwhelming.

The failed attempt by "Fox & Friends" to falsely document Medicare for All as unpopular—despite recent surveys showing that progressive policies like single-payer are experiencing unprecedented support, including among Republicans—fits an emerging pattern of right-wing media outlets falling face-first in their attempts to discredit commonsense, straightforward, and bold ideas.

As Common Dreams reported, right-wing Daily Caller editor Virginia Kruta attended a rally last week featuring a speech by democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In an appearance on Fox News, Kruta recounted the "truly terrifying" experience of hearing Ocasio-Cortez advocate policies that "everybody wants, especially if you're a parent."

"They talk about education for your kids, healthcare for your kids, the things that you want," Kruta said of democratic socialists like Ocasio-Cortez.

Responding to Kruta's remarks, journalist Sarah Jaffe asked, "Does Fox know that they're unwittingly creating commercials for socialism?"

DC you enjoy the single payer system and leave the rest of us alone. We can take care of ourselves. You on the other hand rely
on others to provide for you and your Socialist masses. Piss off. It isn’t your money to hand out to others. I call BS.
