Put your hypothetical hat on and what if President Trump does get removed from office or resigns.

Who would the GOP run in 2020?  Legally, who is still in the race and who could get placed on the ballot?

GOP has zero in the wings.  They are so committed to Trump they are not looking anywhere else, even a smidge.  Highest approval rating amongst republicans ever.

The two-party system was once based on,

"Our ideas are better."

It then became,

"Their ideas are bad."

Trump elected by a nation tired of the rhetoric. Now it is,

"OK, we're bad, but they're worse."

Is there a next step?

I have a theory on social collapse based on cultural indicators. Didn't ever factor political factors. Might have to go back to the dry erase board.

Or y'all could do better.
