After looking up the author and reading a couple stories, one scathing the Brexit vote, hardly an unbiased author.

He was rightly emotional.  He took tons and tons of heat for having a relationship with Kim Jong Un.  If you read what he was doing from the very beginning, he had this nutty idea of 'basketball diplomacy'.  So he was fund raising and trying to go around the world.  He was struggling at getting it going.

Then out of the blue someone from Nkor called him, said they want him to bring his 'basketball diplomacy' to nkor.  So he did.  And it was as huge hit with the Norks.  Mostly because they knew their leader idolized Micheal Jordans bulls, and they knew Rodman was on that team.

Then out of the blue, he gets invited to meet Kim.  He never set out for that.  He knew he was in way over his head.  But he felt he should meet the guy, so he did.  When he returned to the US, he was met with death threats and attacked viscously.  He was just like 'Hey, calm down, i just met with the dude cause he wanted to meet'.

The fact that nutty Rodman appears to have pulled off the most over the top diplomacy since WW2 peace talks is a f'n riot.  You can stick your Kissengers, your Samantha Powers, your Gorka's, your Harvard policy educated and well heeled elitist up your ass.  Turns out diplomacy is about relationships, and nutball Rodman just proved it, beyond any shadow of a doubt.

Now let's see what comes of the Nkor negotiations over time.  If it bears out, Rodman will definitely have his spot in the history books.

Pabar, actually I saw a guy who genuinely cares about people..........I saw a guy who's been treated like I was treated when I returned home from Vietnam..........My attitude toward Americans was just leave me alone and I'll manage without you..........And, I've done just that........

Pabar, this stuff isn't about rocket-man or Trump.............It's about the common-folk people who are hurting and suffering in N. Korea because of Governments...............And, yes, I say that as a plural, it's the same as I saw in Vietnam............War and talk of war is foolishness.........Maybe you gotta see it firsthand to understand it..............

Both Bush Presidents have as much blood on their hands as does rocket-man...........How many folks, civilian and military, do you figure have died and are still dying 'cause of their pre-emptive wars?

What's so weird to me is how gullible American people are..............The fake news had most American folk convinced rocket-man might fire a missile at us.............

Heck, most everyone on here was convinced of this nonsense...........And, there was no way that was anywhere near the truth.............

N Korea is a proxy of China that is a buffer between NATO (American) troops, and it's Southern border. Has been since the 1950's. I don't blame China for not wanting a free and prosperous Korean peninsula. It's not in their interests to have a vibrant economy, and a foreign based army at their doorstep. It would be like Mexico having some overwhelming economic engine, and military power sitting next door. Why do you think we have been fighting Soviet/Russian incursions into Cuba, and all of Central America for decades? It's not rocket science, it's geopolitical power projection. Next up, the South China Sea, and China's ability to project naval and air power over trade routes. That's the big apple. N Korea is crumbs, and a distraction.
