Needs it's own topic.

North Korea issued this statement. "We consider the U.S. no more than a lump which we can beat to a jelly any time"  WTF does it mean?

Trump tells NoKo to stop making threats against the US or there'll be "fire and fury". NoKo responds with plan to launch 4 missiles into int'l water near Guam and everyone goes ballistic.

The 4 missiles would definitely be provocative, but they aren't an actual threat. Trump responds with strong statement if NoKo does something "in Guam."

Our press asked Trump about it and his response was he wants to hear it from the fat kid. Looks like someone got through to him to not respond to NoKo's media, only KJU.

I am hearing that something may be going down soon. MANY reservists are getting 400-day deployment orders, nobody talking about when they are shipping out.

Just starve North Korea. Their only lifeline is China, and perhaps Russia if oil prices go up. I mean how hard would it be to eliminate 2/3rds of NKOR's population by starvation? It's a modern day castle siege. Eventually the peasants die of starvation, then the army, and the dictator is the only thing left. Armies don't produce tangible assets. The military can be forced to farm, and I have seen reports that many soldiers are put to work in fields, but that eliminates prepared military assets. Initiate a false trade war with China based solely on NKOR, and see what happens. China would nuke Fat Boy before risking 100's of billions of investments in US debt. We upon initiation of hostilities, could declare all foreign debt to China void.

I dunno. I'm not so sure that NK can't grow their own sustenance. Most of the country lives like it is the pre-industrial age still anyway. Probably already growing their own in local small community farms. Google would probably answer that for me, but I'm lazy.

Was reading today that some of our top-end secret submarines are recently returning to Bremerton flying the Jolly Roger flag. And you know what that means.

Is that why the Fat Boy's Dad was sending out notifications to the peasants on how to find and eat grass and tubers? These people were literally starving to death by the hundreds of thousands. NKOR does not have the climate, the arable cropland, the diversity for multiple croplands, nor the agricultural base to sustain it's population without imports. Read up. Starve them into capitulation. Fat Boy stays Fat until a General puts a round into his brain pan. Internal strife is our best bet in the long run.

I could only guess, so I googled it. I chose this link for a change of pace...

NK fired another missile test today into the Pacific, flight path over Japan again.

This one, for the first time, had enough range to hit Guam.

We may soon learn how dumb KJU really is.

Also worth noting, South Korea has asked the US for nuclear weapons. Which is a pretty big deal, sure to drive China crazy, and hopefully spur more Chinese action to curb the Norks.

The Chinese are enjoying this game. I suggest we make it a costly game, and Fat Boy would fade into obscurity. The Chinese are in charge, why are we even considering anything other than trade sanctions against China? Lets get this settled already. China does not want a trade war, and trade sanctions are the hammer. It's real easy. Why worry about Fat Boy? He is just a tool of his master, and they stand to lose hundreds of billions, maybe even a trillion or more. Do you think China really cares that much about Fat Boy? He is a pawn in a game, and even less than that.

Why spend more money defending SKOR? We ship them anti ballistic missiles. We have had our treasure, and children defending them since the 50's. BS. Call out China, punk them, take out Fat Boy, and see which way the NKOR refugees flow. It ain't gonna be North.

Saw on Scott Adams:

"All of China's crude oil goes thru the same small NK refinery. It would be a shame if that refinery had an industrial accident."

That seems hard to believe.  One small refinery in NK is responsible for all of China's consumption?  The math would seem to be off on that calculation.

I uspect this means all of China's oil that *goes into* NK is via one refinery, iow, for NK consumption.

For one, strategic metals.

Tungsten, titanium, etc.

It's not Manifest Destiny nor Mother Teresa on our part.

They got, we want.

The usual simple equation.

Roger that Bill. Our Empire, as all empires, requires foreign 'bases' to run our grift, and requires off-shore wealth pumps. Of course, those always dry up sooner than later.
