Oregon vs. Albany
Brigham Young vs. Drake

Drake (#33 rpi) is the 2 seed to Brigham Young's 3 (#51). This should be an interesting game, with Drake's youthful enthusiasm vs. Brigham Young's post season experience. I'll side with experience this time and go with the Cougars.

Oregon will welcome Albany with a 5 inning game.

I continue to be amazed that so many people are picking Oregon to beat Albany.  Do you people not realize that Albany beat Eastern Michigan?  And that Eastern Michigan beat Toledo?  And that Toledo beat Northern Illinois?  And that Northern Illinois beat Ball State?  And that Ball State beat North Carolina State?  And that North Carolina State beat Notre Dame?  And that Notre Dame beat Florida State?   And that Florida State beat... wait for it... OREGON??

You folks need to do some research.

Hopefully, he found religion after making multiple disgusting posts on the Misc. forum.

It wouldn't surprise me if the James Madison/Ohio winner gives Tennessee all they can handle.  Just a feeling.

I think it's a feeling you get because the Vols were upset in their home SR last year against aTm. And I didn't like the way they looked against Florida in the SECT semis. Yeah, UF was on a roll, but UT looked shaken, like they were braced for the worst, which they got. Both Vols pitchers looked a little frightened against Florida, IMHO.

To expand, Vols lost their 2016 host regional to Arizona.... were down 3-0 to SC Upstate in the  7th inning in last year's home regional... and then were wiped out by Texas A&M....

Great way to start the tournament...0-1. Drake still didn't show me much, so I'm not expecting them to beat Oregon. Maybe Albany can score against Brigham Young, but I don't expect them to win.

Florida vs. Bethune Cookman
Ohio State vs. South Florida

Florida likely wins by double digits. I think South Florida has better pitching and just enough offense to beat Ohio State.

UCLA vs. Sacramento State
Texas State vs. Fullerton State

UCLA will have no mercy. I'm not sure if either team has much offense, but I figure Texas State scores more than Fullerton.

Oklahoma vs. Boston University
Missouri vs. Tulsa

Revenge.
Hard to judge. Experience vs. Momentum. I'll go with Momentum.

Washington vs. Boise State
Minnesota vs. Texas

Washington should not have much trouble with Boise, but I do expect the Broncos to score some runs. I'm not sold that the Big 10 will make much noise in the post season, but I like Minnesota in this match up.

Florida State vs. Jacksonville State
Auburn vs. Kennesaw State

These are match ups that will surprise the Power 5 schools, but I still expect Florida State and Auburn to be undefeated going into Saturday.

Georgia vs. Harvard
California vs. Northwestern

Whatever woes Georgia has, Harvard will not be able to take advantage of them.
This could be a good game, but I believe California has more ammunition than Northwestern.

Arizona State vs. New Mexico State
Long Beach State vs. Mississippi

I think I'm going to enjoy this slugfest. I'm picking Arizona State to hit 5 home runs to New Mexico State's 3. Unfortunately for the Aggies, the Sun Devils will have more base runners when they hit theirs. I'm disappointed Long Beach State faltered down the stretch like they did, so I'm picking Mississippi to win this one.

South Carolina vs. North Carolina-Greensboro
Hofstra vs. Liberty

The committee gave South Carolina a pretty soft draw, but they still can't take North Carolina-Greensboro for granted. I expect these two to play in the finals. Hofstra's experience will give them the edge on Liberty.

Tennessee vs. Monmouth
James Madison vs. Ohio University

Tennessee easily. James Madison in 5.

LSU vs. Fordham
Louisiana vs. Houston

This is the scariest regional because Houston has the least experience of the 4 and they haven't been gone from post season play for very long. The only reason I'm giving LSU the edge over Fordham is because their offense has been picking up lately. I'm curious to see who Louisiana pitches in this game. Both teams have slightly above average pitching and offense that can wake up at any moment (meaning both have a tendency to sleep).  I think the Cajuns have a few more offensive weapons, though, so I'll give them the edge.

Alabama vs. Middle Tennessee State
Oregon State vs. Wisconsin

If Alabama doesn't win all 3 games by run rule, the players should be ashamed. The only reason I'm siding with Oregon State in this game is because they actually beat somebody during the regular season.

Arkansas vs. DePaul
Oklahoma State vs. Wichita State

Arkansas wins handily. Two 2 seeds playing one another. On paper, probably the best matchup of the first round. Can the Shockers defeat the Cowgirls 3 in a row? Yes.

Arizona vs. St. Francis, PA
Mississippi State vs. North Dakota State

Launchfest with Arizona hitting more. Mississippi State is in for a surprise, but I still expect them to squeak by.

Texas A&M vs. Prairie View
Baylor vs. McNeese State

Roll call. Pay back.

Kentucky vs. Illinois-Chicago
Michigan vs. Notre Dame

Could be a good game, but Kentucky shouldn't sweat it. Michigan still has more material than Notre Dame, even in a down year.

Brigham Young vs. Drake.

I'm pretty sure Brigham Young will keep the bats going.

Then again...

Oregon vs. Drake

Oregon closes this out.

Florida vs. Ohio State
South Florida vs. Bethune-Cookman

Florida likely gets another run rule victory. South Florida defeats Bethune-Cookman.

UCLA vs. Fullerton State
Texas State vs. Sacramento State

UCLA rediscovers their bats. Texas State outlasts Sacramento State.

Oklahoma vs. Tulsa
Missouri vs. Boston University

Oklahoma remembers the trouble they had with Tulsa last post season and makes them pay for it. Missouri makes Boston look good but still wins.

Washington vs. Texas
Minnesota vs. Boise State

Washington run rules Texas. Minnesota outscores Boise State.

Florida State vs. Auburn
Kennesaw State vs. Jacksonville State

Interesting game. I'm not sure if Auburn has the offensive firepower to outlast Florida State, but ACC teams, and Florida State especially, typically have trouble with Power 5 teams in the post season. I'm going to give the Seminoles the edge in this game. Both teams have post season experience, but I'm going to go with Kennesaw State this time.

Georgia vs. Northwestern
California vs. Harvard

Georgia, handily. California better run rule Harvard.

Arizona State vs. Mississippi
Long Beach State vs. New Mexico State

Arizona State in a cakewalk. New Mexico State will be my first #4 seed to win.

South Carolina vs. Liberty
Hofstra vs. North Carolina-Greensboro

South Carolina run rule. North Carolina-Greensboro will be my second #4 seed victory.

Tennessee vs. James Madison
Ohio University vs. Monmouth

James Madison will make them work for it, but Tennessee prevails. Ohio will beat Monmouth.

LSU vs. Houston
Louisiana vs. Fordham

LSU should not have any trouble with Houston. It wouldn't surprise me if Louisiana and Fordham have a slugfest like McNeese and Baylor did yesterday, and they'll probably commit a lot of errors. Fordham will be my third #4 seed to win.

Alabama vs. Wisconsin
Oregon State vs. Middle Tennessee State

Alabama run rule. Oregon State will get by Middle Tennessee State.

Arkansas vs. Wichita State
Oklahoma State vs. DePaul

Wichita State will find a way to beat Arkansas. Oklahoma State will eventually outscore DePaul.

Arizona vs. North Dakota State
Mississippi State vs. St. Francis, PA

Arizona find their misplaced bats and score just enough to win. St. Francis, PA, my fourth #4 winner.

Texas A&M vs. McNeese State
Baylor vs. Prairie View

McNeese has had their fun. Texas A&M handily. Baylor run rule.

Kentucky vs. Notre Dame
Michigan vs. Illinois-Chicago

Kentucky continues their hitting momentum. Michigan struggles to get by Illinois-Chicago.

James Madison vs. Ohio University

I'll stick with James Madison's experience.

Houston vs. Louisiana

I didn't expect Fordham to just lay down like that. That's as bad as I've seen them look. I'll still give enough credit to Louisiana to believe they'll beat Houston this time, just not with so much offense.

Hofstra vs. South Carolina

The first game after a loss is the really stressful one. Hofstra has momentum and South Carolina is not hitting well. I'll still go with the Gamecocks.

Oklahoma State vs. Wichita State

This should be a slugfest with Wichita State getting last at bat.

McNeese State vs. Baylor

Like I said before, McNeese has had their fun. Baylor wins.

Mississippi vs. Long Beach State

The loser's bracket teams seem to be having momentum. I'll pick Long Beach State this time.

Wisconsin vs. Oregon State

Let's try again Beavers.

Tulsa vs. Missouri

Missouri found their bats and they have momentum now.

North Dakota State vs. Mississippi State

Mississippi State has the loser's bracket momentum now.

Florida vs. Ohio State

Florida likely run rules them.

Fullerton State vs. UCLA

UCLA found their bats.

Washington vs. Minnesota

Minnesota has remained unimpressive. Washington hasn't looked impressive either. I think the Gophers are home team for this one so I'll say there will be an if necessary game.

Florida State vs. Jacksonville State

I can't think of any reason why Florida State shouldn't win this game in 5, but I'm sure they'll find a way.

Georgia vs. Northwestern

The proof is in the doing and California couldn't get the job done. I expect Georgia will beat Northwestern by run rule again.

Arizona State vs. Mississippi

It's time for the Arizona State bats to come into play.

Liberty vs. South Carolina

Whatever I pick will likely be wrong since I picked North Carolina-Greensboro to be playing South Carolina here, so I might as well go with the shocker. Liberty prevents the if necessary game.

Tennessee vs. Ohio University

Tennessee in a run rule.

LSU vs. Louisiana

With as many multiple (offensive) personalities as this Cajun team has shown this season, I cannot possibly expect the bats to continue to stay as active as yesterday. LSU finds a way to win.

Alabama vs. Oregon State

Run rule #3 for Alabama.

Arkansas vs. Wichita State

I expect Wichita State to find enough offense in this game to force an if necessary game.

Arizona vs. MIssissippi State

Mississippi State has scored runs in all of their games, so I expect they will continue to do so. But Arizona outscores them.

Texas A&M vs. Baylor

I think Texas A&M has the better team, but Baylor is capable of making this game interesting. I'll go with the Bears.
