It looks like I have time this year to go back to my preferred method of picking the regions, on a game by game basis. Yay!

1. Florida vs. Florida A&M- Florida
Oklahoma State vs. Florida International- pitching versus offense; I'll go with the offense. Oklahoma State

2. Arizona vs. New Mexico State- run rule, Arizona
South Carolina vs. St. Francis, PA- run rule, South Carolina

3. Oregon vs. Illinois-Chicago- The Ducks against a weak 4 seed and 2 3 seeds. If they don't run rule all three it will be a surprise.
   Missouri vs. Wisconsin- Wisconsin

4. Florida State vs. Princeton- run rule, Florida State
Jacksonville State vs. Georgia- Jacksonville State

5. UCLA vs. Lehigh- UCLA
Cal. State Fullerton vs. San Jose State- Cal. State Fullerton

6. Washington vs. Montana- Washington
    Michigan vs. Fresno State- Michigan

7. Auburn vs. East Tennessee State- Auburn
   California vs. Notre Dame- California

8. Tennessee vs. Longwood- Tennessee
Ohio State vs. USC Upstate- Ohio State

9. Texas A&M vs. Texas Southern- run rule, Texas A&M
Texas State vs. Texas- If the Bobcats beat the Longhorns 3 times in 1 season, Connie should be slapped. If 4 times, then she should be fired. Texas

10. Oklahoma vs. North Dakota State- after seeing the Bison here at Lamson earlier this season, I'm still wondering how they won 28 games. Oklahoma
     Tulsa vs. Arkansas- Tulsa

11. Utah vs. Fordham- Utah
Brigham Young vs. Mississippi State- perhaps the best game of the first round. Slight home state edge to the Cougars. Brigham Young

12. Mississippi vs. Southern Illinois- Mississippi
Arizona State vs. North Carolina- Arizona State

13. LSU vs. Fairfield- LSU
     Louisiana vs. McNeese State- Louisiana

14. Kentucky vs. DePaul- Kentucky
     Illinois vs. Marshall- Illinois

15. Baylor vs. Kent State- Baylor
James Madison vs. Oregon State- James Madison

16. Alabama vs. Albany- Alabama
     Minnesota vs. Louisiana Tech- Minnesota

Yep. But too bad about KY, FL, UGA, AUB, ALA, LSU, SC, and TN.

Maybe you all could organize a Miss State is out party. Several more SEC teams will probably get eliminated tomorrow. Could have a bash every time.

Actually, I'm only expecting 5 SEC teams to lose tomorrow and none to be eliminated. 12 regional finals will be very impressive.

I expect the SEC team is going to lose both of the high profile games tomorrow (LSU - UL and Minn - ALA)

Agreed, and I think Lousiana take that regional and Minnie takes the other one.

Terrell your lack of self awareness never fails to impress. Bumping your thread to the top every day is going to be exciting, everyone waiting to see what you think. I wish every UCS poster would create their own 'My Picks' thread. Yay!

9) Start slapping, you can find her at Aggie Stadium getting ready to play Tx Southern. Now you are calling for a run rule?? You might want to keep your predictions to yourself as Early mentioned.

The SEC lost 3 of their 13, Missouri, Mississippi State and Arkansas. 7 of their 10 are undefeated.
The PAC 12 has lost 2 of their 8, Arizona State and Oregon State. 5 of the 6 are undefeated, Utah has made it to the Super Regional.
The Big 10 lost 1 of their 5, Ohio State. All 4 have a loss.
All 4 of the Big 12 are still in, Baylor is the only undefeated.
All 3 ACC are still in, Florida State is undefeated.

Super Regionals

1. Florida vs. Alabama- Florida
I'm not sure the reason for the loss to Oklahoma State, other than losing focus and the Oklahoma State pitcher pitching very well. This is where Florida begins to kick it into gear and starts their drive for the national championship.

2. Arizona vs. Baylor- Arizona
This matchup may be the most compelling of the round. In the launching pad that is Hillenbrand, it will be interesting to see if these pitchers are capable of keeping the score down.

3. Oregon vs. Kentucky- Oregon
Wisconsin made it interesting in Eugene and Kentucky has better pitching and hitting.

4. Florida State vs. LSU- LSU
I suspect the Seminoles are going to have to work for this one and the Tigers will come in with momentum in this first game.

5. UCLA vs. Mississippi- UCLA
This is where Mississippi comes back to reality and UCLA shows them championship level softball.

6. Washington vs. Utah- Washington
I think Utah has overcome the devastation of that collapse in Salt Lake City, but the Huskies are the better team.

7. Auburn vs. Oklahoma- Auburn
Back in the mid-80s to early 90s, the Memphis State men's basketball program always seemed to be in some type of turmoil. But when the season started, and especially the post season, all that disappeared and they were one of the best teams in the country. I sense this Auburn softball team is somewhat like that. No matter what else is going on, they bring it to the diamond every game. There seems to be something missing from this Oklahoma softball team. I'm not sure if it's complacency, or lack of focus or whatever it may be, but if they don't start playing like they did this time last season, they will not be defending their crown in Oklahoma City.

8. Tennessee vs. Texas A&M- Tennessee
This series could give us an idea of how good a coach Jo Evans is. If she learned anything from Tennessee visiting her in College Station, she has had time to develop a game plan to defeat the Volunteers.

Yes, but I'm sure he's happy he was wrong now. Or at least half happy, depending on how he feels about LSU.

Almost both wrong on the first day. Good. This should be the wake up call the host teams need. They can either bring it or sing it.

Alabama vs. Florida- I'm going to be curious to see if Patrick stays with the hot hand (pitcher) and lets Osorio finish this quickly. I don't see any fire in this Gator team. I just have a feeling Alabama is going to end this today.

Mississippi vs. UCLA- This is what scrappy does, scares the living daylights out of you and forces you to play at a higher level. I like the Rebels to make the Bruins work for it, but I expect UCLA to finish this off.

2. Baylor vs. Arizona- Glenn Moore is an excellent coach and I think this team has enough offense to take one from Arizona. I'm going to pick Baylor to force an if necessary game.

3. Kentucky vs. Oregon- I think Oregon can taste the finish line.

4. LSU vs. Florida State- if the Tigers can't win for Hoover, they can't win for Walljasper. Florida State

6. Utah vs. Washington- nothing different from yesterday. Washington

7. Oklahoma vs. Auburn- the Sooners have gotten their mojo back. Oklahoma

8. Texas A&M vs. Tennessee- the Aggies didn't show me that they know how to hit Volunteer pitching. Tennessee

If necessary:

1. Florida vs. Alabama- Patrick didn't go with Osorio so she can rest in case of today. Will Tim stay with Gourley or go with his "ace?" Whichever team I pick will be wrong so I'll go with Florida.

Absolutely necessary:

2. Arizona vs. Baylor- this should be another great offensive game. I expect Arizona to explode.

4. Florida State vs. LSU- Tiger pitchers have kept them in the picture. Do they have enough to get them through today? I don't think so. Florida State takes it.

6. Washington vs. Utah- this should be even more offensive than in Tucson. Washington

8. Tennessee vs. Texas A&M- I'm still not convinced Texas A&M has enough to win 2 in a row in Knoxville. Tennessee

A&M doesn't have to win 2 anymore. It's down to 1

Terrell is linguistically casual with all topics, except the name of louisiana-lafayette. Don't mess that up.

I expect I'm going to do lousy at this stage. No one is playing well enough to be considered the favorite. Oregon, UCLA and Oklahoma won their super regionals in 2 games, over the 7th, 8th and 2nd place SEC teams. Does that give them a leg up on those that had to go 3? Let the battles begin!

1. Florida vs. Texas A&M- will the Aggies ride Harrington to a national championship, or at least a win in this game? I don't think so. Florida

2. Baylor vs. Oklahoma- someone mentioned in another thread that Kelsee Selman is not a national championship caliber pitcher. She didn't do a bad job in Tucson. Now we see how real a statement that is. Baylor

3. Oregon vs. Washington- probably the two best offenses left, and they get to play each other first. Why do I get the feeling this may be a low scoring game? Washington

4. LSU vs. UCLA- LSU has shown that it's necessary to have elite pitching and face elite pitching to get through in the post season. Unfortunately for them, UCLA has been there and done that. UCLA
