I like this version better.  Johnny Cash an American legend found himself out of favor in the late 80's and not fitting the New Country narrative that Nashville was wanting to push at that time.

He was more than happy to take his role as elder statesman at the out of the way circuit at Branson.  Johnny Cash and numerous old time country stars willing to invest in Branson, since Branson was willing to invest in them made Branson a special place in country music.  Maybe not the level of star creation that Nashville had achieved, but definitely the curator of the older versions of country.

This 1990 performance was before Cash's now infamous flipping off of Nashville ad run by American recordings that relaunched a 4th round in Johnny Cash's illustrious career.

Looking forward to the movie Dunkirk.   Not necessarily an American tale, but none the less one of the most important moments of the past century.

Sounds like Christopher Nolan has a huge winner from early reviews.

Somehow, the British retreat and rescue must make trump look good, otherwise it would be #fakenews.

Good article:

http://theresurgent.com/honoring-robert-e-lee-on-memorial-day/

"We, the living, must dedicate ourselves to a larger concept of our nation, not as hyphenated Americans, but as members of a singular nation. Surely, that’s what Robert E. Lee would have wanted on Memorial Day."

The 761st.  First All Black Tank Battalion General Patton's Black Panthers.
Come Out Fighting was their motto.
> 183 straight days at war.
> Lead Patton's 3rd Army in the Battle of the Bulge
> 50% losses in battle.
> Proved very adept tankers, routinely using battle tactics to create advantage from their inferior tanks.
> Presidential Unit Citation
Wanted to share on this great story on Memorial Day.

Props to Trump for making an informal visit to graves of Afghan/Iraq wars, including DHS Sec. Kelly's son, and consoling visitors there.

A big FU to Vox for publishing a negative article about the Marine Corps on Memorial Day.

I've seen that display at my neighborhood Chick-fil-A.

In spite of the grief they take from some close-minded northern liberals, they are a class act all the way.

I go there frequently.  Besides, their food is great.

Chick-fil-A's not too bad.  Of course, if you drink huge sodas and eat large orders of fries all the time, well then.

But, the sandwiches aren't bad.

There is nothing like their bun run through the butter wash, with one of their filets on top (pickle included of course).

If you feel like you have to go healthy, their grilled items are very good.

I support them in their religious, and patriotic themed stances. All the women in my family will sit through an epic drive through line, but it taste like an airline sandwich rewarmed to me. Chicks dig it, who am I to object?

A few years back, like 10 maybe, you could choose kid's meal "toys" that were Bible Stories Books.  I loved that.  Beat the heck out of a beanie baby.

I think their food is way better than Woody does, but I guess that's why there's 900 fast food places.

Strongest coffee, bar none,  that I have ever drank. Maybe the Cafe Du Monde stuff with chicory beats the Chik-fil-a coffee but not by much.  Definitely better than the Starbucks crap

That's why I'll never go in one again.

My wife likes the place because she drinks coffee 24/7 and has one in her building, she gets free 'samples' quite often.  I hate the jackwads

I see people lined up in the drive through arguing to get in line to buy a product that dunkin donuts, and every convenience store throws down the drain when it gets old. I admire them for their marketing strategy. Their company doesn't seem to care about anything other than PC people.

At starbucks, having to say the word 'vente' when I order always make me feel like bama.

On the rare occasions that I find myself in Starbucks, which are usually because a client wants to meet there, I always order a "large coffee".

Went to a restaurant called O'Charley's today.  It was all red, white and blue, with the empty table in the foyer/waiting area.  In Villa Rica, GA - check it out if you're in the neighborhood.
