Wow, somehow, Oregon managed to fashion a legitimate JV schedule out there....didn't think that would be possible in the one-week-only incarnation of the event

Gosh I think Az played Mizzou last year too, and again they have a patsy sched at the Nutter.

I must be over reacting or misinterpreting. Mary Nutter, for as long as I've been going (10 years) has always been the premier softball tournament in college softball. The week only "incarnation" is really only a return to its original format- a reincarnation, if you will.

Perhaps for JV you were referring to the off fields of Des Moines and Pawtucket where the lesser ranked teams toil. I am surprised at teams like Bethune Cookman 8, a Historically Black College, returning, but it is refreshing that this team wants to compete and play with the big dogs. Army, too, is a surprise. Perhaps they just want their players' families to see them and help them recruit the California athletes.

I'm planning on going this year again because it's the best way to watch a tournament that I've found, and the competition makes for interesting games.

Yeah .. you're right. The most difficult moment in the Big Ten for a PAC player is getting accepted into grad school. It's a shame she has to slum it.

Yes, I get it... the Big Ten kids will be asking the Pac 12 kids for fries at the drivethru window.

Go take that to the future finances board.

Softball is the coin of this realm.

As I was saying.... a schedule a Big Ten team should be playing

Agreed lefty.

Don’t get all bent out of shape over the Big 10 being weak....we all know it is. It’s ok.

It depends on what I want to know. If I just want to give the team the best chance to win, I let G pitch both games. If maybe Rocha has been working with Saile on something or whatever and I want to get a read on how that will go against good hitting I start her in the AZ game.

I think you go with your No. 1 against UCLA/Garcia and Saile/Lopez/Vestal in some order against Az. The UCLA game is a marker for the entire season.

Yes Arizona will play 3 of the biggest cupcakes around. Oklahoma, Team Japan and the one that whipped McQuillin Okla State.

And the best thing is that you get to cheer for Candrea's Cats.
Ahh yes!

Shut up, zte.  Btw, when I said that, Team Jap was not on their schedule, and I was referring to Mizzou and UCSB and whoever else WAS listed.  See the date?  BEFORE all the transfer bull*hit?
