Question does anyone know if Taylor Pleasants (2019 commit) changed travel ball teams?

Is LSU still trying to go the transfer route for a pitcher?

I don't think LSU is in the looks for a transfer pitcher, although it would be nice. We are getting two top 50 pitching (IDK if Kilponen is top 50) prospects. Torina can work with them this entire fall, along with Sunseri and Gorsuch. Amanda Sanchez is a grad transfer, so why would she need a scholarship if she already finished college?

I would argue Kilponen's offer list makes her a top prospect. She was highly recruited by a number of schools but cut it to LSU, Washington, and Arizona State at the end.

She was originally committed to CSU at first but decided to open up her recruitment

I know she is a top prospect, but I didn't know if she was in the top 50.

Well she plays like it from what I've seen of her

Velocity is in the mid 60, a lot of times between 65-68. She has good movement on her pitches. She likes to go with her rise and screw ball.

She needs a little work on her off speed pitch but everything else looks very good.

I don't see why with some adjustments from Torina, couldn't be a star for this program.

I am always hesitant on freshmen pitchers, its not easy to do.

Wickersham throws hard and that gets a lot of hitters but at the next level movement is really important too. If a ball is too flat you will get hammered, I'm sure Torina will make it work

It looks Like LSU's #1 Fan is confident about next season

Does anyone know if Torina recruited Victoria Abrams to be a pitcher or a hitter? I know she does both and it seems she has gotten more serious about pitching over the last year

That girl is a super star in the making, big time written all over her

She can do both, but most of her stats are for hitting so I imaging that's what she would be doing most of her time. Kinda like Shelbi Sunseri, she is mainly a hitter but can pitch in a pinch.

I think Sunseri is a much better pitcher than those give her credit for, obviously she has to go out and earn that title but she has the ability to be a dominant pitcher for LSU

Not the most confident player in the world but when she rings into her abilities IMO she will be a force in every possible way. Just needs experience and a little work on control but she throws hard and has great movement.

I do think Sunseri has a bat of All American quality if she can clean up a couple things . Sunseri needs to bat next to Doyle next year, Doyle needs better protection

Definitely

Ciara Briggs and Taylor Pleasants are big time recruits for 2019. I am curious what LSU's plans are for Taylor Edwards, she isn't even the ace or the main pitcher for her HS team. I thought we had recruited her to be a pitcher. Torina normally takes at least one pitcher per class usually

2020 on paper possibly could be her best class ever top to bottom.

Hopefully this 2018 class can step in and make an immediate splash, on paper it looks really good.

Thanks for the input!!!

No doubt the recruiting stepped up big time

I haven't seen Kennedi play but I have seen Brown and Pilon. Pilon is such a gifted athlete, lucky she chose LSU over all these other schools. Hopefully she sticks with it

Laney Roos is ridiculously underrated, she plays for Aubrey HS in Texas, she is great player.

I think Torina can have contact with the 2020 class starting this fall again with the new rules.

Roos is underrated but very good. Kennedi is very good athlete (genes I guess) . Pilon,Brown and Frazier are great as well. But I tell you Morgan is a MONSTER won’t come off the field(Please don’t laugh a bigger Ocasio) and Newland is very similar to a Griggs type of player.

Are y’all talking about Allison Newland from Georgia Impact organization?

I saw her play last summer, she is the real deal. If I recall correctly she hit double digit home runs last summer!

Morgan Smith is probably one of the most dynamic players in the entire 2020 class. I’m amazed Torina got her to leave California. UCLA wanted her badly! Smith will be a everyday hitter and pitcher at the next level. She is pretty close to hitting 70 mph if not right at it.

Wow!  With all of these monsters and beasts coming to LSU, is it worth it for the SEC to even play any games when they all get there?  Torina appears to be a recruiting juggernaut!

Why are you so obsessed with LSU? And I think they are referring to future commits.

Go worry about Bama

I know they ripped up the field to work on the drainage system. Not sure if they plan to do something artificial with the grass
There is suppose to be a new video board. Baseball is getting a new one as well.

Not sure when the indoor facility will be built, there is a lot of projects going on on campus as of now but I'm sure it'll look great

Is LSU still doing Mary Nutter next season or we just doing that tournament in Florida?
