Since 2012 Torina only has six NCAA appearances, four WCWS appearances and has coached seven different All-Americans.

Fire her, she sucks!

Dobson is holding Torina back IMO

LSU needs a new philosophy when it comes to its offensive approach at the plate

Is that not fair to say?

Carley Hoover looks all the way back to me.

With even a team OPS as low as .850, LSU can be in OKC with that being the case

Everyone knows LSU is excellent in the circle

When will Dobson be held accountable for his crap approach at the plate ?

Do you not think he is a good hitting coach?

I don't think he is that bad but I feel like the development of his hitters is pretty erratic

I don't think he personally gets the most out of each hitter, especially power specifically

I think Serrett is very talented, looked solid year one. Then went completely backwards as a sophomore.

Doyle looks really different compared to when she came into LSU. She looks unsure of herself now compared to before.

It felt like all of our hitters looked completely lost at times last season. Its pretty apparent that most LSU's hitters seem to look unsure of themselves at the plate. You can't be successful when you lack that confidence.

I don't think Sanchez is as bad as what her numbers showed.

My major criticism is that we recruit kids who have success as a hitter before LSU, we dont take what they do well and enhance it, what we do it adjust everythin into what Dobson specifically wants and I think it makes a lot of the hitters uncomfortable, not everyone but a lot of them

Jaquish never followed what Dobson teaches because she knows its not the best way

I just feel like we aren't extracting the best from each individual hitter. I am prayin that Dobson and Torina went to the drawing board and put up a new plan to achieve better results.

Grindz, you must not watch too much LSU Softball to make a statement, Jaquish never followed what Dobson teaches because she knows its not the best way"

The first two years she was on campus she could not hit anything middle out on the plate.  Someone made here realize right field could be her friend and also let her have more quality at bats by battling the ball foul our to right.  She got to the point that everyone in the country was throwing outside third.  When she mastered this late in her JUNIOR year she became feared and then they began to respect and throw around her when we did not have anyone to protect her.

Do go the dad route because dads coach these girls for years before they get her.  Someone made her change her approach at the plate.

I come to this page to get the real scoop on the Tigers as per Grindz.  You go to Tiger Droppings and the only posts being made are by the self appointed LSU softball know it all who posts ad nauseam about the 7th graders who have committed to play for LSU and the Flo Softball recruiting class rankings for LSU.  Grindz likes to keep it real with his posts!

TB357 and 18handicap are both compulsive liars about the state of the LSU program. There is a major issue with player development outside of the circle at LSU. Defense can be good but usually is wildly inconsistent. At the plate, LSU always has difficulty when they face a decent staff on the mound. LSU needs more power numbers at the plate.

LSU has some talented ladies on roster but they are ill prepared. I don't put it on them but on the coaches.

I really hope Dobson adjusted the way offense was handled this offseason because I think LSU needs a fresh approach to hitting at the plate.

I have become a big fan of Sahvanna Jaquish from watching her play in the post season games over the last three seasons... and it's fun getting to hear her talk about different aspects of the game. My two favorite portions of this interview were these:

1. About 25:45 into the show... they ask for her favorite LSU game memory - and she talks about a situation where they were behind and she was coming up with runners on base - and she KNEW she was going to hit a game winning HR before she even got up to the plate. She knew it - and then she did it... exactly as she had seen it happening in her head.

2. About 30:00 into the show... they asked her what has been her best advice for the LSU catchers (as she is working with the team as a coach now). And she talks about how they need to be a thermostat for the team (not a thermometer - but a thermostat). Good stuff from coach Jaquish.

Pride acquires 4 time All-American and 2017 All-NPF member Savhanna Jaquish from Chicago Bandits

Viera, FL- The Chicago Bandits have agreed to trade catcher Savhanna Jaquish to the USSSA Pride in exchange for cash considerations, teams officials announced Friday morning.

Jaquish, who earned All-NPF honors during her rookie year in Chicago, batted .322 with three homeruns and a team-high 29 RBI. The LSU graduate was one of two first round selections for the Bandits in the 2017 NPF Draft.

Along with playing catcher, Jaquish is versatile and can play both third and first base. She will be a great addition to an already talented infield and will provide another right-handed powerful bat to the lineup.

Season opens next thursday

Anyone want to take a stab at a lineup?

Catcher seems to be up in the air still. Torina says she loves the transfers.

I hope Doyle and Springfield can have a breakout year

Over the first four innings, LSU goes HITLESS against mighty UIC.  Gets all of four hits.  Way to go, Howard.

I think Doyle hit the ball well despite no hits. She hit a bomb to deep center that died at the end and then hit a screamer up the middle but a fantastic defensive play robbed a hit.

Emily looked really bad yesterday. I want Andrews at lead off.

There better be major improvements over these next few days.

Dobson does need to be put on the hot seat.

Serrett needs to step up, Antoines hit was an error LOL
