Name a pitcher who would want to transfer to a school that is pretty much guaranteed not to give them run support.

Honest question LSU fans, is the offensive problems more of a recruiting issue or a developmental issue?

Just a season or two ago y'all had Bell, Landry, Jaquish, Simmons. I don't know too many of the players too well, except for Doyle who I saw play a lot prior to LSU.

Statistically looking its hard to believe that this program struggles to score runs, LSU has some great athletes. I've seen in interview Torina raved about how much she like the depth of her team but looking at the starts for each player it doesn't seem like any of the back ups ever get the chance to start. I see at bats so I assume that most of their opportunities are pitch hitting, which is no way to evaluate a hitter.

Maybe someone would like to transfer to LSU because Torina has a very good track record improving her pitchers, most of them are extremely successful and are better now then when they came into LSU. I remember seeing Walljasper prior to LSU and she definitely made significant improvements to get to where she is today. We can all agree LSU has problems hitting a ball but there is no question Torina is very good with pitchers. She did it even prior to LSU. But the pressure of always having to pitch close to perfect is challenging I am sure

Yes all that pinch-hitting where you have a freshman or sophomore getting ONE chance at hitting a pitcher they've never faced in their life.... it's not going to tell you who can hit and who can't... If you are going to go by batting approach, swing, etc, Antoine and Goff have all the others beat.

They say Thornhill was on a tear before she hurt her arm...and if she dont drop her shoulder and dip, she's going to do well.

There are shortstops who can hit too,,, like Gregg, DiCarlo, and others. Nothing wrong with demanding offensive production from all of the position players. LSU is going to have probably five or six good hitters, maybe even eight, but there is no guarantee that they are all going to start. See?
