They have wooden fences with no warning track?

Then, I would agree with you

It's a wonder UL can find so many players who wanna play in the outfield............Considering how dangerous 3leftturns says it is..........[smile]

Waiting for Wilmer to answer my question about the RPI stuff..........

Pay the few thousand dollars to pad that piece of crap. You can still paint it red if that gives you such a chubby

Or, put down some dirt

Wah! Wah! Wah!  There's no warning track and the fence isn't padded.  Wah! Wah! Wah!  Is that all you've got?

No, the point is... that's all YOU'VE got.

Who else has such a minor-league setup anywhere else among the Top 25 in softball.

If there is a choice to travel to play a contender, and literally EVERY other team has acceptable facilities that provide at least the minimal protection for the athletes, I surmise most would call the others first.

Pad the fence OR lay down a track in front of your brick and plywood.

Only a matter of time before a disaster hits there

I know you Cajuns are buried in your bunker against any criticism and play that red-haired-stepchild role to the hilt, but, seriously, be the adult in the room and clean that up. Doesn't cost THAT much. Grab some $$ from baseball.

Well, it does look like that's all 3leftturns has got since the other (5) in-state schools LSU schedules aren't contenders.................

We'll wait for Wilmer's response, now........

Actually, I feel quite sure UL would have no problem playing at LSU...........Don't think they've been offered...........You consider that place safe, don't you?

You could probably read this thread and figure out why they don't want to play.

Fair enough 3leftturns, since all the other (5) in-state schools were scheduled to play at LSU...........

Wilmer's turn to answer.........

LOL.  The more I think about it, UL-L does need to play LSU in order to build up their RPI since those games against Alcorn State, S. Dakota State and Bowling Green just don't provide enough help to raise up their RPI.  I have no doubt that their is some significant bruising on the chests of the UL-L fans in regards to homeruns stats built against marginal pitching or about how scared LSU is to play them.  I would venture to say that LSU sees no benefit in playing UL-L.  Kind of like what is currently going on with Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor.  Floyd sees no benefit in fighting Connor unless Connor can bring something special to the table.  LSU doesn't see anything special that UL-L brings to the table.  LSU is the top program in the state right now with consecutive WCWS appearances.  I believe that UL-L was at home watching LSU play on ESPN during this time period.

Or maybe it's the results of the last few times we've played. ;-)

So, Wilmer, LSU softball sees benefit in playing the other (5) in-state schools -  McNeese, Louisiana Tech, Northwestern State, Nicholls and ULM, but not UL?

I'm trying to think of any benefits..........Can't think of any............UL definitely is the higher RPI team compared to the others and LSU won't have to travel, after all..........

You do know the baseball teams schedule each other, right?

Do you think CajunAmos has a point and past results have something to do with it?    [smile]

Rumor has it that the manger the visiting team stays at short sheets the hay beds. Maybe a wooden fence would provide much needed comfort. AND don't get me started on that slop they begrudgingly serve the other team after the games (they could at least stop passing the hat to pay for it).

Pure sarcasm intended for the prima donnas who would never visit Mt Everest because their is no elevator.

Of course where Im from the players have to wear marshmellow shoes in order to not mar the gold plated outfield. The fence is made from wood though, century old redwood trees mind you. And there is no warning track, just a gentle voice reminder you have encroached an environmentally protected area.

LOL.......

So, maybe a voice recording telling the outfielder "you're about to hit the fence" would avoid a disaster?

Indeed a pre-recorded voice activator would help alleviate collisions. And I nominate Lefty and Wilma to provide a duo of them singing the LSU Alma Mater. That would stop anyone in their (warning) tracks.

Just re-take your sixth-grade English class.... and I will continue to expect adults to put their players first. We will both be better for it.

Thanks, pal

The NCAA has no problem playing regionals and SR at UL. UL does not need to play LSUA&MC, as we are ranked in the top 20 every year for the last what 20 years. LSUA&MC has a long way to go to match what UL has done.

None of the parks that those wussies in the major leagues play at are absent a warning track
