The La-la World Series now not possible.

It could be Yanks and Phillies, so I ask...

Should the boys of summer, playing in the fall classic, have the season go so long that a winter wonderland could force the seventh game be played in a domed neutral site?

MLB 2009 would be remembered as the "Winter of Our Decisive Tent".

Hey Bill. We want a Yanks-Phils WS. It'll be a replay of the 1950 Fall Classic. The Whiz Kids vs. The Mighty Yankees. The Phils have something that belongs to the Yanks - that WS Trophy. It rightfully belongs in the Bronx with the 26 others that are here.

Sorry my adopted hometown of Philadelphia but a born and bred New Yorker wants his original hometown team being crowned World Champions.

Plus the return of my Uncle Pat who worked for Steinbrenner from 1973 to 1976 until he got a job with the expansion Blue Jays.  Sorry Uncle Pat but you're losing this year.

Completely unrelated to the topic and post,  I borrowed the phase
" Sometimes you are the mole and sometimes you are the mushroom"  on my face book and got this comment  " turn off the Jefferson Airplane and put down the pipe". I love the quote but I am intrigued about the origin.   Enlighten me Mr. Bill if you will.,

mad-

Don't know if it'll get me into Bartlett's, but the quote is my own.

Direct reference is to a bit of subterfuge I experienced a few years ago regarding the hiring of a couple of college coaching positions.

Indirectly-and keeping with the musical theme-it comes from my salad days. Quite a time of my life. But nothing to do with Grace, Alice, rabbits, men on a chessboard or the like.

More secrets revealed in a PM, coming soon.

if the two eastern teams play each other, how many westerners do you think will watch the game?
Zilch
I am sure the TV stations will not be happy.

I'm sure there are transplanted New Yorkers all over the country including in California will be watching.

To quote the famous line proclaimed by Kramer on Seinfeld: "I'm out."

I know of at least one and I don't even live there...
