Better pitching wise; hopefully bats can produce.

Bats have always been a question at ND against elite competition.  The Westers can only do so much.

Jocelyn Alo for OU. Its been said she'll be the biggest power bat at OU since Lauren Chamberlain.

After the performance of the four freshmen at Oregon in 2017 (Balint, Elish, Camuso, Rhodes), looking forward to see if the Ducks maintain their hot hands with Mary Iakopo, Lauren Burke, Shaye Bowden and Olivia Kinsey

Does anyone know if Chloe Romero at Texas is the real deal?

I've watched a few games Romero pitched and was impressed. She got lit up some at the PGF all star game but I think you can overlook those games somewhat. Being an OU fan I figure she's going to be a pain for us for the next 4 years.

Lauren Mathis will be interesting because I feel like she's expected to be the ace of a program that's trying to get back to supers at least also excited to see the freshman pitcher at Stanford with Allister

Sprang @ TN, Beubian @ MI, Holloway @ ND , Oh @ SC.

ND may lean on Holloway quite a bit. She may shine more quickly than most in a weaker ACC. Buebian should get a fair amount of innings also as a solid #2. Sprang may be able to back up Moss &  don't be surprised if Kelsey Oh ends up the #1 at SC.

Anybody have any idea how these kids are doing in their Fall schedules?

Duke's freshmen, particularly the pitching staff.

I like Duke to make a little noise right off the bat. St. George and Huey look like that have potential

Kelsey Oh at South Carolina was a little wilder than I expected the first weekend . Quite a few walks , wild pitches , and hit batters . When she is around the plate she is hard to hit though . Not sure if she was working on something new or what . She was much better the second weekend . In seven total innings (two different games) vs Charleston Southern she allowed no runs or hits and had quite a few strikeouts . I don't know if she will be the #1 starter on opening day or not , but she may be by mid-season .
SC freshman third baseman Jana Johns had an outstanding fall , both offensively and defensively . I'll be surprised if she doesn't at least make the SEC all-freshman team . Beverly Smith's other top 100 recruit for 2017 , Alyssa Kumiyama is rehabbing from ACL surgery and wasn't able to play this fall .
