Many have died on this trip. Many are subjected to rape, bribery(demand of more money), threat of harm, and actual assaults and even murder. Dewy wonders why we question his support of law enforcement, our service personnel, illegals, black community under obama's reign. Just don't see a lot of words of support in dewy's posts. Lots of excuses and talking points for the democrat party in general and mostly reasons why he wanted them to stay in control of the White House.

I'm sure many others here, see the disparity between talking points, empty words and sincerity.

They already changed the headline from "cancelling food stamps" to "going hungry". Guess they realized even their readers would question why illegals were getting food stamps. Have to tug on the heartstrings by saying the poor babies are hungry.

Roger that. How INSANE is the situation the dems have put this country in on this issue? Let me see if I understand:   We accept people from these various countries, then the ones that commit crimes, we want to deport, but those countries won't 'accept' them back, but those countries are STILL are allowed to send more people here? Sometimes we appear to be stupid and weak. Hope Trump drops the hammer on this program.

Rep. Cellar: Vietnam, Cuba, China. There’s a large number of them and we brought this issue back years ago to them cause I’ve been working on this issue and they said ‘well you know you gotta understand diplomacy, we don’t wanna upset some of those countries. But my response is, oh, but we can upset our constituents, we can upset our way of life that we have here by allowing those criminals to be released? And basically their response from the state department is, cause you gotta work with the state department and homeland. And the state department with all due respect was focused on diplomacy I understand that. I understand that but I’m also concerned about individuals here who are in their neighborhoods and you can release a criminal because we can’t hold them anymore and that county refuses to take back that criminal alien.

Sharyl: In 2001, the Supreme Court ruled that the U.S. cannot indefinitely hold immigrant criminals if their own countries refuse to take them back. Cuban-born Abel Arango had multiple felony convictions in the U.S. for armed robbery, burglary and grand theft. A judge ordered his deportation, but Cuba refused to take him back. He was released in Miami, later arrested for five felony cocaine charges, released again, and — in 2008— he gunned down a Ft. Myers, Florida police officer, Andrew Widman.

D@mn Canadians are anti-immigrant

https://www.yahoo.com/news/almost-half-canadians-want-illegal-134734239.html

Almost half of Canadians believe that migrants who are illegally crossing into Canada from the USA should be deported, according to a Reuters Ipsos opinion poll.

48% of the 1,001 people polled said they supported "increasing the deportation of people living in Canada illegally", while 41% think that illegal migrants will make Canada "less safe."

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing increasing pressure to address the steady flow of illegal migrants entering the country. The Conservative opposition have called on him to enforce stricter border controls and to suspend the Safe Third Country Agreement which prohibits most migrants in the US from making a refugee claim at an official border post and forces them to enter the country via dangerous routes.

46% of those polled by Reuters said they disagreed with the way the Trudeau government has handled the influx of migrants entering Canada from the US. 37% said they agreed with government's current immigration policy.

Give them a free helicopter ride and push them out over their home country.  We can start by giving the parachutes, if they come back to the us, we send them back with the same method, just leave the chute out.

DHS Sec Kelly met with various mayors and LE heads today to clarify sanctuary designation due to AG Sessions crackdown announcement on Monday. The applicable statute is 8 USC 1373 and it covers communication, but not detainers.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/446214/jeff-sessions-doj-sanctuary-cities-grant-policy-lawful

On Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that to be eligible for Department of Justice grant money, local jurisdictions will have to certify that they are in compliance with federal immigration law. This has come as an outrage to elected officials in several “sanctuary cities,” including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, who have declared plans to buck the administration and potentially sue.

The attorney general’s announcement is, in reality, not news. He has simply reiterated an element of President Trump’s executive order aimed at “enhancing public safety in the interior of the United States,” signed on January 25.

And the law is on his side. The relevant statute reads:

Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.

To be clear, this is not a blanket prohibition on all policies associated with sanctuary cities. But localities that specifically forbid their officials to provide information to federal immigration authorities are violating the black-and-white letter of the law.

Hmm... DHS reportedly mailed out "Declaration of Taking" letters to TX landowners. However, they're dated Jan 12, 2017 - before Trump was inaugurated. Some of them received similar letters in 2008 and the offer is the same - e.g. $2,900 for 1.2 acres.

DHS is publishing the number of detainment orders that are ignored by sanctuary cities.  3000 so far.  LA leading the way.

These are immigrants that have committed a crime, not necessarily a major crime (DUI, possession, assault, etc.  ICE has identified them as illegal alien. requested the local jurisdiction detain them until ICE can come pick them up, and the local jurisdiction released the illegal before ICE could pick them up.

These are bad dudes.  Eventually one of them will commit a violent crime and the sanctuary cities scam will be laid open to full exposure.

Here's to you, Emory University:

Official Summary:

What could go wrong?

"Several hundred migrants have disappeared after they were evacuated from a camp in northern France that was ravaged by a shocking fire that left 10 injured.

Police cordoned off the camp in the Dunkirk suburb of Grande-Synthe on Tuesday and investigators inspected the site to try to determine the cause of the Monday night fire, which broke out following a fight between rival groups of migrants.

As many as 1,600 people were in the camp when the blaze broke out.

The first priority is to find the migrants dispersed by the blaze, said Corenne Torre, head of the humanitarian group in France.

"We just don't know where they are," she told The Associated Press. She estimated that at least 600 migrants remain unaccounted-for. Some fear the authorities, and others fear rejoining a camp with rival gangs, she said.

She said that 10 migrants are in local hospitals with light injuries following the fire, which came hours after a clash involving up to 150 migrants."

It is Kurds vs Syrians.  They have burned down two major camps so far.  They are having a waging a mini war right in middle of fricking France.   And France is worried about that humanitarian implications of it all.   I mean you cannot make this crap up.

Grande-Synth is a far suburb of Dunkirk, where the British made their grand exit when the Nazi's took over France in WWII.  The immigrants are piling up their now more than before as you are no longer allowed free passage into Britain since they exited the EU.

Could you imagine.  Roaming bands of about 1000 migrants show up in mikec's peaceful corner of the earth.  Set up camps down the road from each other.  Arm up with anything they can steal, knives, guns torches.  Then have a mini war.   I imagine that seen from Tremors when Bert and Heather Gummer unload their arsenal.

Really - how do you lose 600 people?  Good grief.

ps - one thing we learned around here from the Civil War is to occupy the high ground.  Got that covered.

Obummer was spending $18,972 on each illegal immigrant child.  Many American families struggle to make $4,250 a month to feed themselves.

Good thing our radical leftist exited stage left.  That boils my blood.
