With the national player of the year and the co-freshmen of the year, Gophers win easily over one of the Floridas.  Um, as long as they dont have to face Washington...

Terrel, Fla has owned FSU in softball for a very long time. The Cajuns would give Fla a better game, or series!

FSU vs UF at the moment with UF winning it, but by the end of the year I think it will be Arizona and UF with UF sweeping.

Florida State beat them in the fall, and their offense looks a little more consistent to me than Florida's.

BS about ULL giving them a better series.

I saw Waldrop strike out 18 Gators in 2013, only to have Senas throw the game away on the final out, plus they beat the Gators in 2014 and lost 1-0 in extras last year.

Meanwhile, you get ULL outside of 'the town that shall not be named to Cajun fans' and they turn to jello. They went 0-3 by a combined 22-2 in Gainesville last year

lol  c'mon man.  8-1 over the past 5 seasons.   I'd say that's pretty telling.   Not saying that it's a guarantee this year.  My opinion is that UF can get to Burroughs/King quicker than FSU can get to Gourley/Barnhill/Ocasio.

Not BS. Opinion.  You know the difference 3left! That was Fla.that beat Louisianna, not FSU.

Greg, this person doesn't know the difference. Prejudice keeps people from understanding facts.

I ask you re-read the first line.

FSU much better equipped to compete against UF than ULL. FSU 1-5, beaten on average score of 4.0-1.0 in past six meetings (with kids who are still on rosters). ULL 0-3, outscored 7.3-0.7 on average.

Not close IMO. But it is all relative.

UF would be favored regardless of any opponent right now

ULL was mincemeat at Gainesville, just like they were in Eugene the year before (outscored a combined 42-5 in those 6 games). When they have ventured from Linus Blanket Park, they have shrunk badly

YOU said ULL would give UF a better game.

That was what the response was to.

Well if it's between if ULL or FSU would give them a better series.. i'd have to agree it's FSU.  And yea, probably not close.   Nothing against ULL, but they seem to be rebuilding and getting younger players up to speed with D1 ball.

Uf is much improved from when fsu played them in the fall but so has fsu. I would give UF the advantage because uf has 3 quality starters with a good fourth arm.

Nice to see someone else who sees Az's definite strength this year.[smile]  I am picking Az to be one of the 2 finalists for 2017!  I can't call it yet though for the win.  I did watch Florida smash the ball against all 4 UCLA pitchers a couple weeks ago though so there is that.
