Current stink should scare some bigger names like his and Dean away.

If I'm a coach at a stable program, not worried about my job, no way I'm going to Auburn.  There has to be a deeper investigation, and who knows what else will come out now that this hit the press.  And the current roster...I'm sure it's divided for/against Clint.  And the recruiting pipeline, same deal.

After the Clint debacle, I would guess another male coach will not be in order.

if JJ is still AD i wouldn't put it past him hiring another male. if he doesn't survive this, then i say female!

They may have to offer 350K to get someone worth their salt to hold their nose and sign

I love Yvette Healy, though she has been anchored in the upper Midwest her whole career

Your obvious anti-trans/zher/genderfluid bias is very problematic.

I'm guessing any current commit is in a holding pattern over the field right now. The 2018s that haven't already decommitted are really the ones with a sense of urgency. 2019s & beyond still have time.

How many current commits to programs other than Auburn will be de-committed to make room for this new influx of 'SEC studs' looking to make a move?

If the NCAA gets involved things could get much worse before they get better at Auburn.  Not sure a big name coach would want to jump into this dumpster fire unless they are unhappy in their current situation and Auburn throws A LOT of money at them.

Will be interesting to see which team are able to "find" some money for any 2018s, and possibly 2017s, that are looking to make a move.

Type of higher = situation.  "Up and Coming" coach, most likely, means a bridge coach.  I wouldn't be shocked to see interim tag put on Woodard (recruiting, already there, etc.) and "write off" this season until they can convince their #1 name to jump.  If a star signs on in the next week or so - I hate to sound half-empty, but, cash grab and blame lack of success on former administration/coaches?

The "interim tag" for Woodard was a lot more palatable BEFORE the ESPN article came out.  Re-read the article and every time it says "other coach", insert Scott Woodard's name and see how you feel about it then.

This scandal may cost Jay Jacobs his job, so at this point he could care less about a non-revenue generating sport.  He is going to clean house and start over in an attempt to save his career.

i am sorry, what?

i am merely stating that Jay jacobs is his own enemy and often times does not do the reasonable, logical thing.

In this scenario I like Dean then as after Good graduates next spring, while still a very good mid major, it will be a little more real world for him.  Ford and Good put him and JMU on the map so it will be difficult to keep that momentum (see Hofstra)  It is all about timing.

I mean but didn't he recruit Good and Ford?

Hofstra had an extra equation -  the retirement of Edwards.

He did not recruit Ford (actually he did at Radford but was spurned) and Good practically recruited him as nobody had interest.  With Hofstra I meant a stud like Galati leaving brought them back to earth.  He may surprise me but I still think they will be very good......just not 56 wins good.

It will be interesting to watch and see.  I hope it doesn't turn out like Kyla Holas who went from OKC to resigned.

The NCAA gets involved in NCAA matters.  This is certainly not an NCAA matter.  Auburn's Associate Director of Athletics and chief compliance officer is the former NCAA National Director of enforcement. There are no concerns with respect to that.

Kenny G would be a great coach but I don't want him to abandon what he's turned around in stillwater.

EDITED Oklahoma NO OSU My fault I somehow got mixed up is his alma mater highly doubt he'll even think of leaving the ok state program. Plus he is slowly beginning to turn the program in the right direction.

OU is his alma mater where he won a national title with the baseball team in 1994 along with Tim Walton. That being said he's not leaving OSU for the mess that is AU right now.
