Hard to do that at this point with AU taking the bigger series this weeekend, even with the loss.

Took a run-rule loss at home and escaped in the two wins. And, Bama has one of the top 5 pitchers in the country.

No-brainer to me

Hoover not starting on Friday remains a flummoxing decision

And, incredible to say it, but Bama DID sweep a top 30 team

Legitimately, SEC could have a dozen NCAA teams and, if Mississippi State surprises, all 13

Missouri is the other team which could possibly not make it. They are 11-10 and perusing their schedule, it is entirely possible they could lose more than they win the rest of the way. As to your overall point, the depth of the SEC this year is really amazing.

The Pac-12 looks resurgent at the top for sure with at lease 3 teams that look as good as any right now.

Of the 2 power teams not in the SEC or Pac-12, FSU is in much better shape IMO to earn a very high RPI and strong resume than OU. It was a very good move to schedule so many top non-conference games. Already played A&M, Arizona, UCLA, Michigan and will play Florida twice and Oregon 3 times.

OU has lost 3 of their 4 games vs ranked teams and has only 1 vs Arizona and their series with Baylor left.  I am interested to see how that translates to the RPI formula.

Can't disagree. I just would prefer to wait to see how we do against LSU in two weeks.

By the way, you were spot on last week predicting that we may have lots of trouble hitting Storms. We struggled badly for most of the game. And I think it was smart strategy for their coach to pitch her vs Littlejohn so as to maximize their chance to get a win.

I would be hard pressed to think of an SEC game we were more fortunate to win than that one ... but I'll take it. Arkansas will win some games here and there against the top SEC teams this year IMO

Ala. has  already played the best team in Louisiana and that didn't work out to well. I think they will have better luck against LSU.

Watching her in pre-conference games, the way her ball drops off the table, I knew we'd chase.  It's also my reason to fear the AU pitchers.  Historically we like to chase the down-ball pitchers.

I know you are joking, but I will still play along....

ULL went ULLL against an 11-loss Bradley, a 10-loss Southern Miss, and then a 10-loss Southern Miss again...

We'll probably have some additional games like that this year. Stewart has not been as sharp as last year, and we're struggling to be consistent hitters trying to replace the four big bats we lost from last year. I'm hoping they'll continue to work to become more consistent and be peaking at the right time.
