Happy Thanksgiving to all the Donks & TBs, plus any others that decide to drop in[ both teams are looking for depth-so jump on a team].

In case your inclined to say a little prayer this Thanksgiving, I'll give you part of a poem from one of my favorites[ Helen Steiner Rice]
     Thank you, God, for everything
The big things & the small,
For every gift comes from God--
              The Giver of them all..........
     And help us to remember
That the  KEY to LIFE & LIVING
Is to make each prayer a PRAYER of THANKS
                And everyday THANKSGIVING.

Wouldn't it be nice if we made every day Thanksgiving,to reflect & appreciate what we have & not be as concerned with what we don't have?

Love the "turk" with the ball - however, believe he will just be "butchered" before getting to the end zone.  Sad!

The very best to all today, AND your families.  Have a glorious day!

Wonder how many of you dislike Thanksgiving because you don't like turkey ?
Ham and pumpkin pie are O.K.
By you way can you have wine also ??

bluedog - Everything in moderation.  Too much of a good thing can be dangerous.  Who should know that better than you?
PS - Have a healthy and happy Thanksgiving and way beyond that.

bd - in excess, I would agree. In moderation, it can also be festive, a great part of celebrations, and a fine beverage to toast.

I hate to say this, but will anyway.  I wonder if your comment would have been made, if other than I had referenced this "evil liquid".  Just wondering - Happy and safe Thanksgiving to ALL of you.

A belated Thanksgiving treat & early Christmas present all rolled into one.

I bet it was the First Klingon Michelle Obama who gave him the shot because she's miserable in the White House and blames him for her misery. Plus the Secret Service is terrified of her wielding a Batleth so they didn't get involved.

pgp - I'm sorry, but I really think you are a sick person.  No normal individual rips & tears down other people continually, in the nasty fashion you do, and talks the way you do.  I've been around a long, long time, been exposed to much, in a lot of places, but have never run into one like you.

Indy - I got a sadistic sense of humor.  I come from a bunch of 10 guys who enjoy people's misery.  It's the way this crew is and always will be.  We can be nice when we want to be but the 10 of us collectively enjoy seeing people getting messed up.  Look up Reginald Denny and you'll know what I'm talking about.

So, I guess we will just have to personally meet and talk sometime, for me to see the human side.

Indy - if I stick you with the beer tab you won't like me.

Indy - when I go out, I never pay.  I get freebees all over downtown NYC, Hoboken, & Center City Philly.  I only have to reach into my pocket for my fiancee's drinks because she doesn't get the freebees I get.  I'll pay if you're drinking cheap.  But if you're ordering Blue Moon or Land Shark or any Irish Car Bombs, I'm sticking you with the bill. I'll leave the tip.

PGP, when it comes to foreign relations, Barry is a man of words not action. Thus this injury could be a threat to our national security.

Jack - Barry is a bigger p*s*y as President than Jimmy The Peanut was.  I'd give anything to be able to tell him that to his face.  He's an empty suit snakeoil salesman that dumbasses on this website fell for and commentators like Chris Matthews from MSLSD want to bonesmuggle with.

Masare- thank you.Didn't get to be with family, but had good time with friends & had a glass of a great port from a great Mizzo winery.

I am glad to see a post back to the main purpose of " Being Thankful " for what we have....like many of our threads we got way off the subject & not for the better.
Like I suggested, lets make everyday thanksgiving-I'm sure willing to give it a try.

Seems that, generally, UCS posters have a great deal of difficulty following that suggestion. Guess that most of us have been guilty, but maybe that can be something we strive for in the new year....

PGP - You're all heart, man.  With your big bucks that you mention, you should always be privileged to pay for those in your company instead of "sucking off the teat" (I believe that's your phrase) of others.

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all! I am hopeful that all had a great time with family and/or friends! We had a houseful of my in-laws for Thanksgiving and it was very enjoyable. I offer my best wishes for all as we continue the journey through the second best time of year, Holiday season. Bested only by softball season of course! Cheers!!

Hey all, Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope all of you had a very special day.  I have spent the day with my Dad.  I am so thankful that he made it this far.  Last spring, they didn't give him a chance to last through the summer.  I know I have alluded to this before but I have lived a tough life.  I might have mentioned that I turned 60 in September.  My wife told me I owed her an apology.  I told her when we got married that I would not live until the age of 30.  Somehow, I survived so many things including a stabbing, being beaten with a ball bat, ...  Still, I have lived the most blessed life.  I am thankful for all of you and wish you and yours the best during this Holiday Season.
