Went to buy a Sig P226 today. Talked it over with the guy at Carters Country for half an hour. What am I using it for, where am I carrying it. Since I usually chunk it in the truck, and use it on the deer lease, he talked me out of the Sig. I wound up buying a Glock 19 gen3 9mm and a Glock 21 gen 4 in 45 apc for the same price as the Sig. Next up a .22 LR pistol with threaded barrel for suppressor, and a .308 bolt action rifle for suppressed rounds, or a 45-70 lever action, or if I can find it, a .44 magnum rifle with a threaded barrel..

Telling you the glocks are the ultimate knock around guns.  You can aford twice as many.  They are bit sloppy band clack clack a bit, so not the smoothest piece of machinery.  But when you point them in a direction the bullets go out, their extensive usage in police and military means there are always parts, and they are super long lived.

I stripped the 9mm yesterday, and was impressed with the simple design. Drop it in the mud, stomp it, pick it up a week later, and I would bet it runs.
