With the dem charade collapsing and the vote firming up for Monday, let's discuss Ginsbergs inevitable replacement.  We can have the left pre-vet potential candidates, that way when Ginsberg kicks it next week, we are all good to go.  We totally save on the time crunch.

Dew/Kaploo/Fresh,  Amy Coney Barrett.  What dirt you got concerns about?

From what I've heard, Barrett is very pro-life.

Trump puts Barrett on, i will laugh.  All those never trumpers losing their minds, Trump is not conservative enough, he is not pro life enough blah blah bllah.  If they had half a brain they would come here and apoligize.  At least the Narrator has been honest/straight forward and realizes that Trump is appointing great solid consevative judges.

Going to be funny when Trumps justices are all to the right of everything GW put on the court.  Has to be embarrassing that Roberts (Bush appointee) is the only thing propping up the left side of the court.

It will be interesting to see, if he gets a second term, if his picks are more centrist. He is cearly keeping his base happy with these, just wonder if that changes with no thought toward reelection ?

I think Alito is solid.  I think that Gorsuch is a touch to Alitos's right.
Kavanaugh might to not be to the right of Alito, but he is not far off of it.

Pretty good given the dire warnings the nevertrumpers were tossing about.

I think that Trump is placing who he wants there now.  So you will see the same.

You and mike come off a bit retarded to me.  Acting like if you don't march around yelling pro-life slogans, and blowing up abortion clinics, then you cannot possibly be conservative.   Doing those things pretty much guarantee you will be irrelevant, so why demand everyone has to do them?  You mostly attracted to irrelevant people?

And you come off as a pompous a$$hole - just asking a simple question as you of course take it to a level of douchness. You have been proven wrong time and time again on abortion, but keep on trucking - you’ll get it right eventually sparky.

You do to people on the right what dewyllie does to them on the left. Pretty much make it so no one wants to be associated with you.

Mikes a stand up guy - glad to be associated with him.

What part do you think I am getting wrong on abortion?
80% of Americans reject making abortion illegal (for the doctor or the mother)?
Demanding candidates declaring they will make abortion a crime makes that politician irrelevant?

Mike is a fine guy.  You are a fine guy.  I have no problem with either.  Just think that at some point you have to realize being so litmus test oriented puts you in a situation where you almost have to fundamentally reject and obvious reality that there is a political element to how our laws are going to get constructed on abortion.

I choose to acknowledge that there is a political element, and pursue wins on that front in any shape or form.  Incrementalism 1 life at a time.  Start by bringing back our adoption system.

I never said a single word about abortion on this thread.  If you read what I wrote, I said "centrist views" - that is inclusive of a lot of things.

It was a political question - try digging deep and answering instead of looking of the next cool meme to answer with.

Edit:  But since you brought it up, 68% of Americans want abortion to be illegal in some circumstances.  Here is the breakdown:

Illegal in all circumstances:  18%
Illegal in some circumstances:  50%
Legal in all circumstances:  29%

I 100% agree with that 68%.

Trump has diligently and publicly maintained his list of SCOTUS potential appointees.  Anything he does in this regard is already reflected on that list.  Kudos to Trump for this, you just do not get this level of transparency anymore.

Not sure how you square these two quotes.

I go by these numbers:  https://news.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx

18% say abortion illegal in all cases.  So 82% reject 'abortion illegal in all cases'

As far as twisty parsing the rest of what your meanings are, probably time for you to head on down the cliff claven parsing club and yuck it up with the guys.  Or save your nonsense for when Dewey comes back on Monday.

It just seems to straightforward and simple to me.

I never have a problem asking politicians to say the believe abortion should be illegal in some cases.

The problem is when we demand politicians state that abortion should be made illegal.  As soon as they utter those words, they become irrelevant.

You are using the same poll I did - 68% believe it should be illegal in some cases, and you agree with that, and then you say 80% reject making abortion illegal.  It's simply a wrong statement by you.  Your inability to admit that makes you just like your homeboy Dewey.

UWA:Right

I don't disagree with this statement at all - you just have to be a a$$hole anytime someone brings up something about Trump.  No one mentioned abortion at all.  It's your go to and you constantly get it wrong.  Try doing some research.

Freshy?  that you?

Again numbers are simple.
18% - "Abortion illegal in all cases."
82% - Not "Abortion illegal in all cases"

Early, Kir, Am I nuts in thinking that is just to simple of math?

If you had said that in the original post, not a problem.  I absolutely agree with the 18%, it's black and white.  Do you need a refresher in the English language?

A completely misleading statement if you do not add in "in some circumstances" since 62% of that group believe it should be illegal in some circumstances.

Dewyllie would be proud.

That's the equivalent to Dewey moving the goalposts.

Your similarities are quite striking when you are wrong.
