That would be fun.  I've had the good fortune to share a couple of short "how do you do's" with Scott and it was instantly clear he's a very nice man with a super sharp softball mind.  Hard to believe his daughter's four years of collegiate experience have come and gone already.

I know what you mean.  It's not like there's a slowdown period.  One minute you're going full speed and the next minute you're going zero.  You can see it coming but you're still not ready for it.

Back to Sam Fischer - to date she has nothing to prove, but she has created enormous expectations internationally with her play.  Loved that 3 for 3 against Australia.  Her defense allows Coach Eriksen to play both her and Molly Johnson, as Fischer slid effortlessly into second base.  The only problem is that a great playing Gibson also plays second.  Fischer has proven to be consistent and consistently way above the norm.  Frank
