That’s why I asked.....a little surprising to me as well.

Angel Santiago should have gotten the UCF job. He has deep roots in Florida, and would have done really well there.

One of the all time greats in blue and gold. Her solo HR against FSU and exclamation mark rbi double- vs Arizona- were instrumental in Cal's title run.

Wishing her all the best and obviously, hope she is on the shortlist when Ninemire retires (hopefully soon).

I think Cal in a year or two will be perfect for her after assistant gigs in three vastly different P5s.

The assistant coaching hires at Clemson seem very uninspiring by rittman. Couldn’t he do better than the former furman staff that didn’t really light up the world in a pretty weak conference.

What could OK offer Rocha that would be more compelling than FL? OK has shown they won't completely break the bank for an assistant (any incremental bump I would imagine FL would match). I get she has ties to OK but I imagine, by now, she has ties in FL as well. At FL she has the best swing and miss pitcher in the country and a largely unproven supporting staff. At OK, there is an interesting mix of pitchers but no sure fire, established ace. More risk at OK.

Really no hurry to name one. Kids won’t be on campus for over a month and recruiting has been handled by the Head coach and associate head coach.
