Really?  She JUST left New Mexico St last season to coach at Minnie.  I wonder what happened?  The huge weather difference, perhaps?

Ha!! No, Jamie Tracshel is an absolute nut. There's a pattern developing here, Randy at Iowa State gone after the first year, Heifner gone after the first year..... hmm. It's going to get really interesting in MN.

Heifner was at NMSU for a LONG time to just up and leave for Minnie like she did.

Which leads itself even more to the point that something has to be very wrong for her to depart. Also no one "just ups and leaves" after being somewhere that long, it'd again lend itself to say that this was an opportunity that was very appealing, at least at first.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with Minnesota's team batting average dropping from .342 to .287.  Schneider at ISU wasn't much better dropping from .282 to .255.  Trachsel's biggest problem is picking the wrong assistants.

I can see where Trachsel's intensity would come off as nuts to some players after being used to Allisters.  At ISU the underclassmen liked it because they knew getting pushed that hard would pay off.  Upperclassmen didn't care for it as much cuz they'd be gone by the time it showed significant results.  Easier for that style to work when a team is horrible.  I can see where you'd have a lot of pushback from a team that has already proven itself like Minnie.  Long term I expect her to have a lot of success with the Gophers.

There are a lot of factors into the drop including a ton of injuries to starters missing major time as well as the tougher schedule. It’s not that cut and dry.

From the interviews and news stories done the intensity isn’t different or something new. Jess Allister is also pretty darn intense. Just interested to see how it all shakes out.

Intensity may be the wrong word.  Maybe saying Allister is more of a players coach where as Trachsel takes the Herb Brooks approach is better.

"Any?"  That is funny.  I am sure Texas is going to scoop him right up to take their HC job.

Well, it's good to see that Mr. Marcum's mother has joined the board. [rofl]

Zero head coaching experience at any HS or college level.  Served as an assistant at three different schools in under two years.  D1 experience is 5 months with mighty Tennessee State.  Ran a travel program for six years that produced one D1 recruit.

Yeah, he sounds ready to take over the reigns of a legendary P5 program.

Where did you see that?  Still has her listed as coach and no posting for the pitching coach position at Tech?

Any word on who may be joining Minnesota’s staff? Still surprised it’s open after one year, but that could be a great opportunity. I don’t see it posted online anywhere other than hearing it from a few people.

Windy Thees at Utah State got hired as the new head coach at Winthrop. Possibility she is bringing the other assistant with her which is why there are two openings at Utah State.

Pretty sure Anderson (nor any other coach in the position) would "announce" "Sophie Softball is following me to my new job."  These things happen and are eventually known but are rarely "announced" in the manner your question implies.

That said, it would surprise me if any of the Hofstra kids left the island. Most are from there or close by. Columbia is a long way away both geographically and culturally. No train rides to 'the city'.

I presumed the question was about whether any coaches would be following Anderson.

Anderson was interviewed on a podcast and said she was bringing her former player/current assistant with her

I know someone said they couldn’t find this thread. But hopefully lots of updates!

Trena Peel following Gillespie to Iowa
Chris Malveaux to Missouri

South Dakota State’s Shannon Pivovar moves to D2 Univ of Sioux Falls

Any thoughts on assistants for Texas? Minnesota? Etc??
