Does anyone else find it annoying they don't preview the incoming freshman? For a team like Texas, Chloe Romero will have just as much expectation placed on her as Wright.

It’s fun. Stimulates some conversation and anticipation as the season approaches. In depth investigative journalism, not so much.

Who's going to help them get to that point?

If...if.... Meehra Nelson gets back to her freshman form, she and Eason should get them there, even with Hampton having graduated

I believe your worry is groundless. Then again, no one could predict the terrible showing of the Pac 12 bowl participants.

Yes, even Stanford will be there. Wouldn't even be shocked if they're back in T25 by the end of the season!

I hope they have a Defense, that was one glaring problem I saw Stanford have.

Interesting - with Seitz and Silkwood gone, I see MS State struggling this year. Harrison is a very good bat, but she’s a bit of a defensive liability, imo. Too many errors. She’ll have to clean that up. I would have picked MSU at or near the bottom of the conference this year. I wonder if the other teams are all still remaining in the countdown? Seems unlikely.

"Conference rank:  #13 SEC" might give it away.

I certainly look forward to the daily rankings that CSM provides leading into the season. It really is the only ranking that satisfies pre-season anticipation on a daily basis. However, is there really not better research done to make the decisions. Using last year's finish for a vast majority of how they think a team will do this year is lazy it seems. In the case of Marshall. First of all their 4 year RPI average from 2014-2017 was 76. They had an RPI of 31 in 2017, 96 in 2016, 53 in 2015, and 124 in 2014. Additionally they lost their ace in Jordan Dixon, who threw 77% of their innings last season and they lost the best player in the history of their program in Morgan Zerkle. They do return a bit of production on offense, but 35 is an extremely high in a sport so reliant on pitching and to have lost 77% of their pitching from last year. Nothing against Marshall or anyone else in the ranking, many are quality teams. However I would think that it is a stretch for Marshall to finish above FIU, Louisiana Tech, or an FAU team without Hansen and Wilson.
Again nothing against Marshall, they are just the team I decided to post on. I know that each team in the ranking will have someone taking exception to them. I also know that year after year although it is fun to look at the daily ranking, the quality is pretty low.
