Idiotic. Florida No. 1 and Texas A&M 15th, and have Aggies AT FSU for NCAA regionals

And, Pittsburgh loses to Troy and Lipscomb and stays put at 24

And, the ultimate sign their bracket is looney tunes... they have two SEC teams at Pac teams in the regionals

What? They got #1 right at least lol. TAM should be in top 5 unquestionably though.

Thanks...but...Tuscon Regional renders the whole bracket useless imo.[smile]  They don't even see fit to give Az a top 8 even though Az is far superior than they have been since 2010!

CSM can suck it.

I love that UGA as16 seed in 2016 ousts Florida. Now they'd have to go in as the 16th seed again but this time have to face Fla State.

And Utah at LSU as a rematch? Even crazier is Utah at #26. But somehow Oregon State, VT, Ohio State, Mizzou and CSUF get higher seeds. Even crazier crazier is having JMU at #29.

Why would they do that?  Seems like a good way to wear the team out to me.

The guy who does the weekly rankings for CSM is literally stealing money (assuming they pay him). I remember last year lots of times his rankings would seem as if he had no clue or interest in the results of the games.

He currently has Texas A&M number 15. Wut?  They are 19-1 and have beaten 4 ranked teams, including #2 FSU.

Spring break and they need the RPI points. Plus they can coast in conference.

Jay, sounds like a good explaination, but curiously, how far in advance are conference games written Iin stone and how long is there to fill spaces in between?

Hey jay don't they do rpi right from the beginning of the season, and if so, when will they put the first poll out...or is it out and I just have not looked for it?

How do you think the first RPI will look compared to the public polls?

Pretty different because of the the SOS factor.

IMO (obvs)...

Oregon should be suppressed a little initially, but starting next week will get loads of RPI competition, plus the three-gamer vs. FSU

UF also had played an early schedule that looked tailored to initiate some youngsters into the mix (though not in the circle like the Ducks), but began supercharging their RPI last weekend against UCLA and Cal. And, we'll see if that Maryland loss is even a 'bad' loss when it is all said and done.

Minnesota should be jacked UP but probably will--conversely to UF and Oregon--suffer RPI-wise the next two months. Same with FSU who should be No. 1. The UF pair and that Oregon trip could be an RPI booster shot in May.

Meanwhile, Michigan, JMU and ULL have the losses, but also will not have high RPI competition to work up against.

Just my $.02

We shall see

If FSU doesn't have the #1 SOS and the #1 overall RPI I will be shocked.  Keep in mind, because I know gonegolfn could give statistical weight to this argument, I'm only going off my opinions of how their schedule has been, their record, and in the long run the bonus points they will receive based on their OOC SOS.

Why is Minny jacked up?  Just due to record?  Has their OOC SOS been strong?

LSU, Washington twice, Cal, ND twice and Texas twice.

That is certainly a solid month imo

But, yes, I would like to hear gonegolfin's take

Oh ok, Washington games haven't happened yet.  So I wasn't including them in my statement.  And you're right, I was only thinking of LSU in the top25, but those other 3 (Cal, ND and Texas) are all 25-50 range so that will bump them up.

I got that now. I was just going through my mind trying to recall what I saw on Minnesotas schedule when I looked at it after that LSU win.
