Nicole Newman will be very interesting to watch as a one-man gang for Drake

I’m confused? Is she the only one playing? It still takes a team...

Drake is making its third-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament and first since 2008. The Bulldogs dominated in the Missouri Valley Conference regular season with a 24-1 overall record and then defeated Valparaiso and Southern Illinois to win the MVC Tournament title.

The other two pitchers have done a very good job!!! They are the reason Nicole has not had to throw all the innings this year. I am proud of the way Kaliee Smith has thrown this year and she hits!! Coaches recruit strong players up the middle: all college coaches will tell you that its important to have a strong center of the field starting with a solid battery, then middle infield, and solid center fielder.
Everyone knows you can't win unless you score. Everyone knows the importance of a strong catcher.

Looks like the weather may impact a majority of east coast games. The Athens regional has no lower than a 70% chance of rain all weekend.

I wish everywhere had oregons weather from the looks on twitter, only a few clouds in the sky if any. I have a feeling a few games might be Saturday-Monday
Btw what's the latest a team can play a game knowing classes are all done for the year?

I read a story about Uk’s regional and it stated the NCAA would have a representative to decide if a Monday is necessary to finish the regional. If the regional can’t be finished on Monday the highest seed automatically moves on.

Today doesn't look good in Lexington, the only hope is hit-and-miss storms that mostly miss.  This week the rain has been slow moving storms that dump a lot of water wherever they happen to set up.  I think the worst of it is supposed to be later today though.  Maybe we'll get lucky.

Lesser chances over the weekend but still a threat.
