You are right, I have no facts that his life was hard, is why I never claimed it to be; rather I questioned how PGP could factually state that it wasn't...since hasn't offered any "first hand" knowledge of the President's formative years.  Do you or PGP have facts proving his life was easy?  Further, all any of us can do is offer our OPINION on that subject, since the criteria of a hard/easy life is purely subjective.  Birth certificate...OMG are you serious...I will let you waste those brain cells all by yourself!

Well we know he was a Red Diaper Baby.  The child of communist leaning parents.  Certainly his mother Stanley Ann Dunham, was an iconoclast and a radical thinker.  After divorcing Obama's Kenyan father, his mother, known as Ann, moved with her son to Indonesia, the home of her new husband Lolo Soetoro.

In Dreams from My Father (Barack's $hit book), Obama himself lets slip that, during their time in Indonesia, his mother raised him to be contemptuous of America & Americans.  On page 47, Obama describes himself as "extremely well mannered when compared to other American children. She [his mother] had taught me to disdain the blend of ignorance and arrogance that too often characterizes Americans abroad."  On the same page, Obama relates his mother's refusal to attend social functions with her husband's fellow American oil company employees because "those are not my people."  Is it any wonder that Obama spends most of his time abroad today blasting the United States for being "arrogant" and "dismissive" toward other nations and people?

After leaving Indonesia in the early 1970s, Obama spent several years in Hawaii.  While he was there, his maternal grandfather Stanley Armour Dunham, introduced Obama to his early mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, an African American journalist, poet, and radical who was known to the FBI in the 1950s as a member of the Communist Party.  Davis became like a father to Obama, even advising him on his career decisions.

With such radical early influences, it's conceivable that Obama wasn't seriously affected by their ideas.  He publicly admits that, on a matter as deep and personal as his own religion, he adopted his family's skepticism.  "I was not raised in a particularly religious household...My mother grew up with a healthy skepticism of organized religion herself.  As a consequence, so did I."  And he admits that he counts his mother as "the dominant figure in my formative years," and that "the values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics."

Throughout his early years, Obama was surrounded by far leftists - from Indonesia to Hawaii to Harvard to Chicago - all of whom embraced an identical political narrative, which viewed the United States, its capitalistic system, its freedom, and its democracy as suspicious at best, satanic at worst.

Bibliographies
1) Andrew Walden, "Barack Obama: Red Diaper Baby," American Thinker, October 30, 2008.

3) James Lewis, "Obama the Red Avenger," American Thinker, December 15, 2009.
4) Tim Jones, "Barack Obama: Mother Not Just a Girl from Kansas," Chicago Tribune, March 27, 2007.

So Diehardfan either take that in your pipe and smoke it or just shove it up your azz.

Now who's pompous and egocentric...lol...good job of citing references used to form your "opinion."  Which, unlike you, I can accept opinions.  Just have a hard time with folks trying to pass them as fact.  Not sure if you have lived abroad (I have on four different occassions), but frequently, "certain American kids" do act ignorant and arrogant.  Since you mentioned maternal teaching -- you think they might have learned such behavior from their parents.  As for Davis...did you really mention 1950's, African American, Journalist, Poet, radical and the FBI all in the same sentence?  Again, you are who I thought you were.  BTW, I prefer cigars to pipes...:-).

They came out of high school to Millions of dollars. Those born into money had it easy. Anyone named kardashian has it easy because of the family name. Bristol Palin had it easy...what other teenager gets pregnant in high school out of wedlock, is paraded around america with their boyfriend, and gets to be the national spokesperson for teen abstinence and get paid great money....then do reality show and dancing with the stars, then gets her own reality show and wrote a book documenting her 20 years of life. But hey- she took advantage of the opportunities presented to her because it isn't about working your way up from dirt...it is what you make opf yourself and taking advantage of the opportunities when they knock at your door.

Music is full of people that had nothing, dropped out of school, slept in cars and played dives, then became millionair bands. So a rapper who slept in a bathtub with his brother in a family of 8 who dropped out of school, scraped for food, and then got a break and became a millionaire is better than herman cain whose family were  average, werent living in a ghetto or hood, owned a home and food each meal, and affoded college? Are they better than rick perry who grew up in ranching, always had money, and his family was always in politics? Of course not. You can grow up rich and not do crap or grow up poor and not do crap. As we tell the occupy movememnt kids--get out there and make the most of your opportunities. ..don't hate someone having more money and saying "they have an easier life". Aspire to be more. Don't talk about it- be about it. Don't hate the player, don't hate the game, hate yourself for all the opportunities you passed up in your lifetime and the crossroads you chose a different path to. And never apologize for having money. And don't apologize to a hater if your parents busted their asses off so you could have more opportunities in life and a better life. Anyone here apologize for doing things for their children? I worked double hard so my kids wouldn't have to and when they got older I saw the same in them towards my grandkids.

So play nice here and don't get personal. None of us are running for office and we don't have paid sponsors wanting us to fight like a reality show to get ratings.

Well said sir! Thanks for the "sanity check."

Discussing opinions are one thing,
Getting personal with such graffic detail is another
Pure filth beyond acceptble levels should result in his expulsion.

Wow way to gang up on a guy.  You can not dispute the info that he has given all you can do is scream about his language.  classic liberal!

Obama has been a horrible President.  He has badmouthed our country and the people of this country.  I can think of no other president in our history to do that!  He has made of a mockery of transparency and croney capitalism.  He has gone to new lengths on both.  He and his liberal buddies have spent record numbers of our dollars for what, increased unemployment and a flat economy at best.  He and his liberal buddies are hugely divisive because  it helps their cause otherwise they have nothing to run on.  His Foreign and domestic policies are a joke!  The only people that are better off from his policies are his cronies. The poor people are still poor but the number of poor has ballooned, necessarily so for more votes.  Socialist/communist govts have never been good.  You can not take money from the economy run it through the govt which takes money and espect to get more from the economy.  Totally flawed economic theory.  Just empowers the govt and the people in the govt.

So stop ganging up on PGP and his language cause you have no leg to stand on and cant come up with any facts to the contrary.  So who are the kids?  President Obamas actions have shown he is our worst president ever!

Listen, first your classification of my political leaning on most political issues are far off the Mark.  I didn't vote for Obama, that is not the point.
His absolute over the mark language is unacceptable period. Obviously if the boy needs to express himself in that manner, he needs to pick up a dictionary and expand his vocabulary, a tad.  I Think he needs to be banned from the site,

Dewey, you are the 'moderator' please exercise your authority.  Placing symbols to get around the filters, is the same as the words.

Pat..(George)... you really try to be a tough guy on this forum, sorry to hear you had such a hard life getting beat up everyday for your lunch money.
Susan you really need to run the Fox out of the hen house.  if You don't understand that ask George about his past.

SBmom, you will still be screaming after Romney wins the presidency........You mention the word "facts"...Here's one for ya....Newt Gingrich is one of the dirtiest and most corrupt politicians in existence...And, he's right at the top of the republican party in which you are putting your faith in....

Like Cain, Gingrich has a problem with his memory!

Quote:

URBANDALE, Iowa -- Rising in national polls, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich found himself on the defensive Wednesday over huge payments he received over the past decade from the federally backed housing agency Freddie Mac.

Gingrich said he didn't remember exactly how much he was paid, but a former Freddie Mac official said it was at least $1.5 million for consulting contracts stretching from 1999 to 2007. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a personnel matter.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/16/newt-gingrich-freddie-mac-consulting_n_1097590.html

Oh, and PGP's mouth is entirely too filthy to be around decent people....He should go live with the protesters he so likes to denigrate.....They could teach him how to be a little cleaner with his mouth!

I, and others, have done so on many occasions.  PGP has previously posted the information contained in viral emails (the most recent one about Obama not being a student at Columbia) without ever checking out the veracity of the information.  Most of what PGP posts are obscene attacks on other board members.

But your standing up for him says a lot about you..............  Sorry, but posts like his and the language he uses and the personal attacks have no place on this board.

GoYard - still here extending middle fingers towards you.  Enjoy!

If you don't like the message then don't read the post. And as for bringing up the past I guess you don't about Andy A. interceding and making sure everything was ok between both parties.  So if you Toro don't know about that then shut your mouth because it's water under the bridge.

Toroman, boot him because you disagree with him politically or philosophically? I have just read some of your personal attacks on PGP, and have no knowledge of what you speak. If you continue with unfounded slanderous accusations, I would suggest you get kicked into banned camp. If you have some information that supports the accusations you have publicly accused him of, either bring them forth publicly, like a Man, or apologize, and suffer the consequences of your libel. I am not judging one way or another, but you just posted what amounts to a slander on the Internet. I may agree or disagree with you politically, and argue with you or against your political positions, but you have crossed a line, and publicly slandered a member of this board. I call upon you to produce specific facts regarding the accusations you have made, and justify them, or retract them and apologize. There is no middle ground here, make your play or retract your accusations. We are a group of individuals with diverse political opinions that we express, but you have crossed a line, and you should be made to publicly show finite proof of your accusations, or apologize and bear the burden of falsely accusing a member of this forum of misconduct associated with being a Gentleman. I have no dog in this fight, but you may go after me, or anyone else you disagree with next. Make your move, and do so with studied conviction and above all else, a very carefully thought out explanation by personal account of the slanderous allegations you have made against a member of this community. Anyone can sling dirt, a Man will take a stand and tell the truth, consequences be damned.

Woody, don't hold your breath. People like Toro, Diehardfan, and (POV) suffer from what we call lacka nut sacka.
Diehardfan, you are right that we don't know much about Obama, but the reason is that he refuses to let anyone see any records from his days in college. Is it because he made bad grades and he doesn't want us to know that he is not very smart? Or is it because he applied for grants as a foreign student and he knows that would disqualify him to be eligible to hold the office of president? Maybe it is both. One thing we do know, is that you would have a better chance of breaking into Fort Knox in broad daylight then getting your hands on Obamas college records.

Getting back on topic I still have not seen any further factual info about Obama.  Good vetting job done.  Wonder why he has to be so secretive and condescending about this country.  I do know he follows Alinsky rules alot.  Maybe that is why.

People would say what happened to clear the air so others who have no first hand knowledge can't go around beating a dead horse of something that happened years ago.  People who clear the air apparently have nothing to hide.  Dinger I expected better of you.  I'll leave it at that since The Moderator is just itching to get involved now.

I know nothing of this crap but this. I just want those that have made accusations to make a full accounting of what they are accusing a forum member of, and back them up with facts, and their real name. If you make accusations of this type against PGP, Me, Dewey, POV, LMSS, or anyone else on this board, you had damn sure be ready to back those accusations up with hard facts. If those facts are not readily offered, then an apology needs to be made in the same eagerness that was used when slandering a forum member. Like him or hate him, PGP just got slandered online, and YOU may be next unless a line is drawn. It doesn't matter which side of the fence you are on, speak the truth and be truthful in your charges against each other, or be called out. Speak the truth Toroman, or apologize publicly on this forum.

Dinger, Once when chatting with PGP, I did ask him how he came to the world of fastpitch.  He told me the whole story.  That is what grownups do, they go to the source and ask questions. They do not try to spin stories by telling partial stories.  I agree he could clean up the language a little, which I have suggested but to ban him, no way.  I have been spit on, cursed and worse by my fellow Americans while defend their 1st amendment rights.

Liberals like to hide behind their rights as long as others can't use them.

Now grades and grants...what next...we really didn't put a man on the moon; it was all done in a TV studio.  As for "lacka nut sacka," (I can't speak for the other two gentlemen ) but where I'm from it would be called "pretty bigga nut sacka;" since I don't have a problem calling out your "anointed" one, who seems to work an inappropriate comment regarding race, class or one's family member into EVERY post...in actuality, your boy has "lacka nut sacka" for doing it and you have "lacka nut sacka" for letting him think it's OK. Dude you are a WACKO

Been to any Hotels lately .... uninvitedl

Listen to me you motherf*cking a-hole.  Stop talking stuff that is a) none of your business, & b) ancient history.  Stuff happened 5 years ago.  I have proof I was in town for job interviews with itineraries from firms in that area and I stay at every Sheraton, W, or any other Sheraton Brand Hotel because I am a Platinum Member with all the traveling I do but I'm wasting my time defending myself to the likes of you and whatever other jackwad that will not believe me.  I'm engaged now to someone rather wonderful not that that's any of your concern.  So stop talking $hit about me that has nothing to do with you.

Woody,
hmmm, lets have PGP George explain his situation with the Arizona Softball team in a Hotel that he shows up at then explain the confrontation.

I already did explain it to the people who mattered.  Even if I said it to you you wouldn't believe it so STFU already about things that don't concern you.
