I'm not worried about being wrong or right, just hope to bend their minds a little. I actually have become more convinced I'm in the right. Their outlook and vision of human behavior is so skewed that I started feeling like I was crashing my head against a concrete skull. There are a few over there with views that cause me to think, but on the whole, they just want to argue and spew their demented ideologies. I was curious how the sh1thole comment was being received, but went over to Fox and........Bazinga, there were people actually defending his position. When you can defend the indefensible..............you are just insane. Won't mess up this thread any more, just tell Eddie if he apologizes for his ridiculous charges, I might come back every now and then and make his day. Otherwise.....Sayonara.

Blue, why no response to the Blue Dog Coalition? It's Lafayette origins and ideals are vastly underrated and unappreciated by the Republican party.

Rudy, I thoroughly despise both parties..........Seriously, I'm neither Democrat or Republican...........I'm pulling for both parties to implode - that's my greatest desire...........

And, that's why I'm so pro-Trump.........I don't praise any human - I just wanna see Congress turned on it's crooked head..........And, best I can tell, Trump is willing to do it...........

No more Blue Dog coalition like in the old days - too much kiss-and-tell if you try to make-a-deal with anyone..........Everybody looking for a scoop and willing to pay for it........Too much money floating around.........

Unlike Fresh, I really do applaud Trump's frankness and candor calling a spade a spade...........Those countries he referred to really are corrupt mud-holes........But, you know that..........

Politics aside............George Rodrigue was someone I respected - had mucho money and laughed at how much folks paid him..........He would seriously laugh about how much money people would pay him..........He was a treat to be around...........Miss him...........

Yea. Seeing fresh over here, whining about his failures he had over in the mean streets of the misc forum, kinda made me sad for him.

<< I don't praise any human >> (bluedog)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why would you not ever praise any human..?? I don't understand that. Can you explain it?

You don't think Jonas Salk deserves praise for developing the polio vaccine?

You don't think Albert Einstein deserves a pat on the back for developing his theory of relativity?

How about Nikola Tesla for developing the alternating current electricity supply system that powers the modern world?

None of these guys are worthy of praise?

Maybe someone in the sports world..?
How about Don Larsen pitching a perfect game in the 1956 world series? Larsen had been knocked out of the second game of the series in the second inning as his team took a 13-8 loss. There had been only three perfect games pitched between 1880 and 1956. Over a 75 year period... only Cy Young in 1904, Addie Joss in 1908 and Charlie Robertson in 1922 - had been able to pitch a perfect game in ML baseball. Then with the series tied at two games apiece, Larsen retired 27 Brooklyn Dodgers in a row - and that was a very good Dodger lineup.

Would you possibly consider that performance worthy of just a bit of praise?

How about Tom Brady (at the age of 39) bringing his team back from a 28-3 deficit with less than 3 minutes remaining in the third quarter of last year's super bowl? Brady completed 43 of 62 passes for 466 passing yards. In just the 4th quarter, when it mattered most, he completed 21 of 27 passes for 246 passing yards. Btw... he was 6 of 7 in the OT. Brady also spread the ball around pretty well - as the Patriots had six players with more than 50 receiving yards. James White had 14 catches for 110 yards, Julian Edelman had 5 catches for 87 yards, Danny Amendola had 4 catches for 78 yards, Malcolm Mitchell had 6 catches for 70 yards, Martellus Bennett had 5 catches for 62 yards, and Chris Hogan had 4 catches for 57 yards.

And they did all of that without having their best receiving weapon available - as Rob Gronkowski was out with an injury.

In comparison, the Falcons had just two players with 50 receiving yards: Julio Jones with 4 catches for 87 yards and Taylor Gabriel with 3 catches for 76 yards.

Do you think just maybe Brady's performance (especially what he did over the last quarter and a half of the game) is deserving of a bit of praise?

Again... can you help me understand - exactly why you "don't praise any human"?

To note what is accomplished is one thing - to praise is another..........

If you can't recognize and understand the difference - that's on you.........

The best bar trivia for Belichick/Brady Patriots:

They have played seven Super Bowl first quarters...

Have never scored a point.

Belichick, by far, greatest in-game adjuster of all-time

You must have a different idea of what the word "praise" means - than I do.

I keep an old Webster's dictionary near by my computer that I've had for many decades - and this is what it lists for the word "praise":
(verb) 1. to express approval.  2. to express admiration.  3. to glorify.
(noun) 1. approval of merit.  2. commendation.  3. worship.

I am guessing that you probably think of the word in the terms of the last one listed for both the verb (to glorify) and for the noun (worship). But those are not the primary usages of the word - and I'd bet the vast majority of people do not mean the word in that way when they use it.

I have no problem with a person praising another person for something they did that was worthy of praise... meaning they accomplished something of merit that is worthy of recognition, approval, commendation or admiration.

I have never used the word "praise" in meaning that someone was deserving of worship - or to glorify them as one would glorify God... and I don't know anyone else who uses the word in that way.

Is that what you mean when you use the word (worship, or to glorify)?

Just wondering, bluedog... do you have any kids of your own?
If so, did they ever receive any praise from you when they did well at school or in sports - or in anything..?
Telling someone they did a good job (when they did in fact do a good job) is not a bad thing.
You seem to be indicating that you believe it is a bad thing.

Positive reinforcement is not a bad thing. It is a good thing.

Have you coached softball (or any other sport)?
If so, haven't you ever told a player, "Well done". You did a great job today."..?

I am having a hard time understanding your position on "praise".
No one is ever deserving of praise..?

I can’t imagine any parent that has spent 5 minutes listening to his self righteous rhetoric would allow him to coach their child. And he probably wouldn’t want to coach all of those aspirin taking, antibiotic junkies anyway!

Question so what happens to all the 2020s,2021s and 2022s that committed. Your telling me they can't communicate with the coaches anymore does there verbal in the softball world mean anything now... Don't get me wrong this needs to happen but its the coaches that have to control this and all I see is secret deals going on by 3rd parties/travel coaches...

Had a question that refers to the original topic - recruiting changes. There are multiple proposals that will be voted on this April. I’m hearing that the most likely outcome is going to be a vote in April that results in an immediate stop in recruiting until a player reaches Sept 1 of their Junior year. That could cause a crazy commitment period right before the rule change goes into effect as well as a free for all on Sept 1st every year. I know there are still multiple choices and things could still go in many different directions. What are others hearing from College coaches?

Chinny, there is some truth to this..........I only work with individual players - not teams........And, I do experience parents who don't like my preaching...........And, we do part-ways..........

There's ugliness in high-school and college softball dugouts............It's always been this way - and always will be...........And, I do educate parents and players about it..........Their young daughters going into a situation being around older girls is something they need to be schooled on...........

I'm finding more-and-more starry-eyed parents these days are wanting that scholarship bragging-rights bad enough to ignore this stuff............Been around softball a long time and I can say this is getting worse with all the early-recruiting nonsense..............

I get calls from parents with kids as young as eight..........I tell 'em to wait a few years, but, they don't wanna hear that..........

I'll never stand-by and watch a kid's morals get sacrificed by a starry-eyed parent or a coach..........At least, not without attempting to help that kid...........But, in the end, I tell the kid they must listen to their parents............I'd never get in-between that relationship..........

Verbals mean nothing in the first place, legally

And, you are going to see many, many coaches violating this
