No, OC, tenfour will not be in attendance. I would really enjoy breaking bread or sharing a cold one with our numerous acquaintances in Surrey/White Rock, however, I am unable to make the journey.
Enjoy and give all my regards.

The Canadian Open Women's Schedule is posted!

It should be the best elite International Women's Softball has to offer today!

China Nanjing University Softball Team will be participating! Multiple 2008 Olympians. Interesting to note that not 1 player on the roster has attended a University class!

Excited to see our Team USA youngsters compete against the Japanese National Team!

Rain today in Softball City!

The Championship round has been delayed!

Very Excited to see Megan Denny pitching so well.

Wang Lan has been a machine!

Very excited to see if Ueno will pitch in the Finals?

Also excited to see if the young USA hitters can take control of the Japanese pitching theory?

Go USA!

I hope they don't try to play the USA/Japan game tonight.  Don't want to see anyone get hurt.  Game won't start until at least 9:45pm.  Watching the previous Canada/Cal A's game and there are puddles starting to form, the camera can't focus on the game because of the rain on the plexiglass behind homeplate.  Rickettes having trouble gripping the wet ball.  Not very good conditions for a game.  I don't believe tonights game will have any impact on who plays in the championship game tomorrow.

I'm watching on streamer, and it's frustrating.  Japan over USA 3-1 in the fourth.  I think the umpire is giving a wide outside corner and squeezing everything else - for both sides. Not exactly optimum visual !!  Japanese hitters are very smart.

Japan wins it 4-3.  Good softball game, and I think our kids represented themselves well against an international power.  Great experience for our players and coaches.

Wow, so many opportunities.  Japan 4-3. Just couldn't get that clutch hit, some hard hit balls right at fielders.  On the positive, USA had 11 hits against Ueno and Someya, Japan's #1 and #2 pitchers. Thomas did a very good job controlling the Japanese hitters.  I agree with Frank that the umps zone seemed a little wide and down especially for the lefty hitters.   I love this teams chemistry and toughness.  They really seem to support each other.  They are representing USA softball very well.  Got to get by Australia to see Japan in the Championship game.

Wow, I just surfed a crappier site than USA Softball....The Canadian Open Site...a person shouldn't have to spend that much time clicking to find information.

Team USA beats Team Australia 6-1 to get to the championship game. I expect Keilani will be in the circle for Team USA, although Megan is a good option as well.  Brittany was on fire last game with 2 homeruns and 4 rbi's.

Japan running away with this one! 6-0 Japan top of the 4th. Ueno is pitching a great game so far and the pitchers for USA haven't been able to do much to stop the Japanese offense! I was wondering what was up with the Japanese team..now I know they were just saving it up for tonight lol!
