Didn't see a thread for CAL SB.

Starting it off with some good news for the CAL Golden Bears, an upgraded stadium:

So happy for the program...The scenery is beautiful in Strawberry Canyon. To finally have a REAL stadium to match? Music to my ears.

Now-who will be the new pitching coach? When will Ninemire finally enjoy her well deserved retirement (hopefully soon...please)? More important questions that need answers.

2019 will be a boring year. Same song and dance. Conley and Dung will be good enough for 35-40 wins and a regional. Our very subpar offense (all on the coaches and not the hardworking young women) will not allow us to advance to a SR. Looking to 2020...we have a phenomenal 2019 class. So many great hitters. Would be nice to finally have a coach to help those hitters flourish.

Awesome news on the stadium. Much needed.

But if you think 2019 is going to be boring, give me Amani Bradley back. Please!

Bradley is great. As is Smith from the Choppers. Talent isn’t the issue. It’s developing those already talented players into something better. Look at Jackson-she lost over 100!!!! Points off her batting average, since her Fr year. Same thing with the other top 100 hitters who graduated this year from cal.

Great hitters come to die (and get a phenomenal education) at Cal

I'd have to see the plans for the new park. They must be eliminating or cutting into the hillside behind the 1st base side. Or is that why sand volleyball moving to give way to more room. i'm not sure where they are now. Anyway good for Cal, finally another PAC 12 team getting new digs.  Oh and it took Christ to get it? 😃

Rood too. That kid has major potential that isn't being developed and utilized. Very frustrating...

At a school like UCLA, she would be a .400+ hitter. Sad.

Speaking of UCLA- welcome, Jelly Selden!

Same here. So, she's never coached college aged kids before. You would think a Pac school would have required some experience. Of course, we all know that if you were a good player, you'll definitely be a great coach. Hope they have someone else to teach the pitchers to throw to first!

Wow, interesting hire.

We'll see what she brings to the pitching staff....
