Just an opinion, but there is such a thing as over-scheduling.

If KU's coach expected to win some of those games, then great.  But, you go 0-4, and one of those losses is against Stanford (who I believe was picked to finish last in the PAC), it isn't gonna help your overall record, and might put you behind the 8-ball to start the season when your goal is to make the NCAA tourney.

And, still more tough games to come.

So, play the patsies and make that record good? Not sure if run ruling teams in 5 innings is the best way to go about it. Course you seem like the hall monitor so I guess you are right??Pad those stats all the way around.

If you're just looking to argue, and throw out personal insults, do it without me.

Balancing your non-conference schedule isn't easy.  Whatever KU's logic and strategy was to open their season with four PAC 12 opponents it resulted in an 0-4 record.  Doesn't bother me; they aren't the team I support.

Now they have to play catch-up in trying to get above .500 for the next several weekends.

Stanford gone do damage this year with Coach Al, Kansas was wishing to get at least 2 wins for lil help with RPI points but did not go as planned. Gone be a rough season once again.

Cant fault them for trying. Ain’t like their gonna win the conference anyway.

Don't follow Kansas too much.  Doesn't look like they've made the NCAA tourney since 2015.  So, to me, they opened with a very tough schedule this weekend if they are trying to return to the NCAA tourney.  Not too many teams nationally (if any) opened with a tougher 4-game schedule.

This Kansas trip could have been scheduled by the former coach. I don’t think it hurts them. They’re just looking to get into the Big 12 tourney. A couple years ago they had a great non conference schedule and went on to win one Big 12 game.

I think OU is a lock at #1.
Ok State and Texas will battle for #2.  I like OSU's offense and pitching additions.  While not discussed much I think they got a steal with Sprang.
Baylor is solid at #4.
Iowa State and Texas Tech will fight for #5, but neither will make the tournament.  (Hope I'm wrong, I'd like to see five teams from Big 12)

My revised pics heading into conference season.

1.  Oklahoma
2.  Texas        I think Texas will actually challenge OU this year.
3.  Texas Tech      I didn't see this coming at all.
4.  Oklahoma State    Thought they'd be better.
5   Iowa State        Wishful thinking.  Probably looking at 6th.
6.  Baylor              Too many injuries.
7.  Kansas

I think think OSU and Tech is a toss up. I agree with the rest of your list though. UT will give OU a competitive series for sure!!

Unfortunate season for Baylor. They’ll be back stronger next season.

Anything can happen at any time. But if the Sooners stay focused and don't let themselves get bored or overconfident, they COULD go undefeated in conference play for the second straight season.
