You've scared them all away with a single sentence.  I'm truly impressed.  [biggrin]

Now maybe we can talk about games...

It is going to be a run-infested bloodbath if Walljasper is LSU's only pitcher who is able to get big outs

Well, our crew will be sitting in the same area. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys. We will be there around 1:00, and will do a little tailgating with the rest of the gang under the 2 or 3 trees in the parking lot. ( if that is what you want to call them, more like shrubs ) [biggrin]

It has been since that was legislated at the bequest of an institution who shall remain nameless after following the protocol that had been in place for years to officially change the name to the University of Louisiana which was the official name for a year until the legislative change.

It also notes the proper athletic name as well in case you missed that part.

LSU coaches gave up a national title when they let Selman go by pitching in so few games.  No reason for Texas pitchers to come there anymore.

Selman is not nc caliber.

I think LSU can be criticized for its fair share, but Torina has done perfectly well with her pitching situation. It has never been her offense to get her to OKC

You won't have much luck finding coaches who'd pick Kelsee over either Carley or Allie. I'm very happy she's excelled in Waco but we'd have all the same issues with her still in BR.

To get the thread back on track, rain is in the forecast for every day this weekend. As if things weren't going to be crazy enough scheduling could get interesting.

Yeah... looks decent after 2 or 3 today, but tomorrow could turn into a big mess of delays.
Luckily, large gatherings of Louisiana folks are pretty good at passing the time. [wink]

But wasn't a pretty game. McNeese with four errors but the Cajuns robbed at least four hits with outstanding defensive plays, one of which had Aleah Creighton pulling a HR back from over the wall. Should be an ESPN top 10 play.

What if the Warhawks suddenly decide they want to be called UL? They've got just as much of a right to it, right?

We'll get clobbered tomorrow if we play anything like that. Just looked to be going through the motions like it was the Tiger Classic in late February.

LSU absolutely deserves criticism for not playing Louisiana. But I guarantee you that's not Torina's call. Decision made above her pay grade by some Board types that enjoy acting superior.

About Torina?  I doubt it, but I truly don't care. I know at Alabama we have a powerful board member who steadfastly refuses to consider allowing our football or basketball teams to schedule UAB or South Alabama. He doesn't like for people to know he is the one who won't allow it so he lets the coaches and AD get questioned/criticized.

But to repeat, I don't care one way or the other about UL and LSU

Actually I do have an idea. She used to coach here. I know her. So I saw a post which implied it was her choice not to play UL, and I posted my belief that is incorrect.

A better description of my reaction is I don't care to carry on with UL fans about it. Believe whatever you want, y'all are always right.

Baseball is the only sport where LSU plays ULL regularly and even that series was paused after the infamous bat slip. LSU didn't play ULL in softball before Torina so it's clearly not just her thing.

Thank you. She does not have the option of scheduling them.

Here's to hoping both teams show up dialed in, and the weather doesn't.
