And In my opinion it makes LSU look even worse that their Board members won't allow her to schedule UL. Just like I told you Alabama has a Board member who won't allow us to schedule UAB or So Ala in football and basketball. That looks bad and there's no good reason for it IMO.

How is saying 2 SEC have stupid policies being an SEC homer?

Right. Who are you arguing with? But it's not Torina's decision, it is higher ups at LSU. Which is what I said 30 minutes ago

They play in baseball and football - no problem..............LSU dominates in football and has the edge in baseball..........

You don't know what you're taking about...........But then, I'm pointing out the obvious...........Even you know that.............

They USED to play in football. Last time was 8 years ago. Not anymore. Keep up.

They've played 3 times in the last 80 years in football.

For crying out loud, for once can we just keep it about the games in the Baton Rouge regional. [mad]

On another note: Bama CF, are you trying to catch up with lefty as being the most obnoxious person on the board, or just trying to pass him up in posts per minute.[thumb]

I posted a simple comment that while there is no doubt that LSU refuses to play UL, it is not Torina's decision, but higher ups. bluedog replied "You are wrong, plain and simple". After reading all of his responses to my simple statement that it's not the coach who decides and the exchange of posts ... if you think I am the obnoxious one and not bluedog, then wow.[wave]

Meanwhile...... back to the action on the field - The Cajuns looked really sharp defensively and McNeese uncharacteristically (at least for the last few years) uninspired, intimidated and completely outmanned.

McNeese coach removed Baylee Corbello with the score 2-0. Should have been 1-0 because the McNeese leftfielder dropped a fly ball with runners on 2nd and 3rd.  Instead of 1 runner scoring on a tag up, both runners scored.

McNeese had 0 hits and 4 errors.  You can't give those Cajun hitters extra chances.

Not sure why Corbello was removed, but The Cajuns did much better against the next one up.

LSU played the way it has much of the year, inconsistent and sort of flat.  Fairfield did not look like a .500 team.  Came out enthusiastic and played solid.  LSU only scored because the Fairfield right fielder dropped a ball with 2 outs in the 1st inning.

The Tiger/Cajun matchup will not be close if both teams play the same way they did yesterday.  But, today is another day, so we shall see.

Glad LSU got the host gig, so we could see Craighton make this fearless, awesome catch

Nothing more fitting than for these two teams to play each other in the Swamp in the pouring rain. Lol.

I'm going to enjoy watching this.

Aaaaand as soon as I get out the butter, the sun comes out.

They actually had Louisiana on uniforms for a couple of years and decided to go with ULM.

The fence in Lafayette doesn't seem to bother her.

Outfield looks soaked and tomorrow is supposed to have more rain. Not sure what's going to happen.

Well, it's all set up for LSU. If the games are not played, as top seed, we automatically advance. If this game is completed and we win and no otherr games are played we advance. We are ahead 2-0 and looking good.

Starting to come down pretty hard here in the NOLA area so I'd have to imagine it being more of the same up in Baton Rouge. Don't see it letting up anytime soon, so if they're gunna get it in tonight would probably have to be around 10:00 or so.

Thought it was Hank Azaria's "Jim Brockmire" character when I first heard him, ha.
