Bible Scripture must be put in context to understand...........

Quote:

Mark 3:28 - 30

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

There is absolutely nothing in matthew, mark, luke or john that has anything to do with salvation or instruction for how we are supposed to live our lives other than the actual death, burial, and resurrection of jesus christ. Christ was ministering to the jews in his earthly ministry and the apostles didn't have any sort of understanding of what was going on in a context of you and me or anyone else living in the dispensation of grace. Paul is our apostle, he was given specific intrusions for is directly from christ. He makes is clear that we are saved by faith and faith alone. Leave that irresponsible, false doctrine out of this board.

Leave it all out of the board and discuss it in the Misc thread.

If I want to find about what you all think about religion I search it out there.

BigOrange, Jesus is the Creator.............And, yes, until Jesus was crucified and arose from the dead, the spirit of followers was forever confined to the earth............Jesus wants us to follow Him, the Creator...........

And, the Bible clearly tells us there definitely is an unforgivable sin..............

I present this to you........

Satan is an angel who once lived in Heaven until He was kicked out............Satan knows very well who Jesus is and He knows the sacrifice of Jesus...........Satan talked to Jesus in Heaven and on earth and He witnessed it all............Satan knew of the Creator's plan before-hand and watched it unfold........

And, the Bible clearly tells us of Satan's fate in the end...........Satan has no chance to be forgiven by the Creator and He will burn in Hell until He burns up and is no more..........

I would rather you read the Bible and learn...........The Bible is the Truth...........Taking Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and ignoring the rest is, well, very foolish............The Bible must be read complete to be understand.......Some books and verses help to explain other books and verses...........

Point taken, thanks. Think I'll back out of this topic. Faith is a crazy thing best left to a different thread probably.

Outofzone, one either believes the Bible is the Word of the Creator, or they don't believe it is..............

To know the Creator, the Bible must be read.........Rejecting the Bible as the Word of the Creator without reading it is a tragedy.........Listening to a religious person tell you about the Bible will not suffice...........

That's what I've been saying, just in a long-winded way...........

And, with a caveat.........Religion teaches forgiveness in a very callous and loose way.............It's because there's this money thing happening............A lot of preachers make a lot of money............And, those huge church buildings don't come cheap..........Then, you got gyms and schools...........It's a regular community with their own drama.........They better teach forgiveness comes easily if they wanna survive............

And, the Bible gets tossed aside........They just use it as a decoration...........

Your post is a textbook definition of bloviated drivel.

Take it to the Misc forum. This is a softball forum.

Definitely a game where we were outplayed.  Just off the mark defensively and USC's pitchers did a nice job of keeping us from getting good cuts at the ball.   USC played well on defense too and threw strikes, which had been a factor in the earlier games.

Today definitely followed the trend of one game per week where we don't play well. It's amazing that the girls have been as consistent as they have been, considering all that's transpired off the field. Also, Ole Miss, Mizzou, and South Carolina are capable of beating anyone, as they've proven all year. I still see every SEC team playing in a regional this year.

This weekend was a mess and while winning two games might seem like a positive after the drama of the week, I fear that it was more of a testament to USC not being that great than this team coming together and finding a way to win. Scoring 4 runs in 3 days against a below average pitching staff is very concerning. Wallace looked as bad as I've seen her look at AU and she, in my opinion, is the one that has to keep it all together. Hopefully, they will figure things out this week, but if not, I think we will end up playing ourselves out of the top 8.

I am totally relaxed. I just don't want to read your sanctimonious, condescending and myopic religious opinions on a softball board, Auburn thread or not.

Nothing more to it.

Cool.

The point you fail to see, or were just ignoring, is there is a section on this forum designated specifically for religious and political discussions. That section was created to keep those discussions from littering the softball section and taking away from the softball discussion and to keep conflicts down.

Coach Myers scores a 10 on the unintentional comedy scale during Wednesday's interview. Kinda makes me wonder about his self-awareness and understanding of metaphor usage.

"We’re better than that. We need to prove it. We have to stop talking about it. We’ve been doing a lot of talking. We need to go out and spank somebody, let them know Auburn is for real.”

I agree on Wallace.  Tough weekend and it shouldn't have been for her.  Draper was getting on and she had opportunities to help the team get some things going.   I will say that Sunday in particular, USC was hitting their spots.   We have to be quicker to try some things, including some adjustments in the box to jump start the offense at times.   And we still just pop too many dang balls up.  Part of pressuring a defense is putting the ball on the ground hard.   I don't see enough swings with that in mind.   With the middle infielders not named Fagan all hitting at or below .083 in conference play, it's hard to be consistent on offense.   Add Shea hitting .150 in SEC play and offense is a problem.   I was hoping Jordan would find something or Abbott might take over at 1st and move Veach to 2nd if necessary, but I think they are just going to wait and see if McCracking or KK can at least pick it up some.

The scary thing is how many of the 4 runs scored this weekend were unearned?  I think both runs on Friday night against USCe's freshman pitcher were both unearned.  Not sure about Saturday's and Sunday 0 runs.

Well misinformation seems to be par for the course for those posting in the AU threads and this is another.   1 run Friday was unearned.  Both runs Saturday were earned.  But if it fits the agenda, go with it.

Not trying to disseminate misinformation, just thought I remembered errors in both innings Auburn scored on Friday. And is 2 vs. 3 earned runs against USCe really a BFD?
