A great pitcher, but more important, Cher is in the handful of people I've met in my life with the greatest distance between their massive talent and their externally presented ego.

Movin' on up.

Ditto, we were at a camp and she didn't take much time for anyone.

Indeed, spazsdad....

Cheridan Hawkins was three-time Pac pitcher of the year, and in Eugene always had packs and packs of youngsters waiting for her after each game.

After each game, she was there with a smile until every kid had left with a smile on their face.

And, this was after the rare painful loss too, including the searing career finale in the third game of the supers in 2016.

And her composure at all times, speaking to those kids or the media. There couldn't be a better representative for a program.

No problem being self-deprecating, like calling herself a ding-dong when talking about getting her roommate's first HR of the season negated because she hopped across home plate to meet her: http://pac-12.com/videos/oregons-cheridan-hawkins-her-perfect-game-ill-take-out-any-way-i-can

And, I have never seen her get within a zip code of big-timing anyone.

Reid takes over for Lisa McKinney, who is moving to Texas to pursue a new career. McKinney posted a 46-59 record in two seasons at the helm of the Gators.

I guess that "Texas" move did not work out?
