Well, Oregon loses another top notch player....That one is going to be hard to replace this late in the game.

This is a two-horse race.... between my two least favorite coaches in the Pac
I really hope Arizona can shock UCLA and UW, but I am pessimistic. Right now, I have Arizona in third, and not very close to No. 2, or No. 4

The Nutter Classic schedule got tougher for those stinking Wildcats with the update.
They close on Sat. the 23rd with back-to-back games against Oklahoma and Team Japan.

Alyssa Palomino back to the outfield this season.  Not sure how I feel about this move, not that I am anyone, however, Harper was a huge first team aa at first base her freshman season, but when she went to her "natural" ss position the next year, she completely dropped off the aa radar.  I surely hope this is not the case for Palomino...on top of the huge injury risk.

Palomino....I'll never forget seeing her 2 years ago at the USA tryout. Such a physical specimen.

I am rooting for good health to show what she can do. I believe that she could hit 30 HRs in a season

Do y’all think Palomino is best suited for a DH role with all her injuries? I think that may be best for her. However, you can tell with her at first base she really was able to help McQ out mentally when she struggled. I don’t think moving her back to the outfield is really smart, but who knows maybe she wants to. And what does this mean for first base? Does Harper move back? Or does Riley Pierce play there? Also, last year after Palomino, Harper, Carranco, and Mulipola, the rest of the lineup struggled. Do y’all think the lineup will be back to being more dominate?

Pierce at first, Harper at short. McQuillin...huge if she latched onto Mowatt's pitbull mentality!

She won’t catch but Martinez did struggle at time at 3rd, so maybe she’ll get a look at 3rd

Martinez is terrible at third but we need Pierce at first.

Anybody know when this happened?

Pretty big promotion - congrats to her.

CSM has Arizona at #12 in the preseason poll: https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/17043

No mention in the analysis of Mizzou transfer Rylee Pierce or incoming freshman and FloSoftball 2018 High School POY Marissa Shuld.

No need to pay much attention to this poll. Rylee has proved she can play. Also Polls don't look at incoming freshman until they've showed what they can do at the next level. Just like they rely too much on what the teams did the previous year.

Harper went from first team aa at first base to zero aa at ss. There were much better ss's than her, even though she belted 18 hr's. Hopefully she kicks a$$ this season!

They don't play there this year

But, the answer is May 9, 2010

The actual answer is Arizona has hit more HR's in Eugene than Oregon has won National Championships. That would only take one since Oregon has never won the WCWS, right ?

Isn't there another thread where you can go discuss how great Oregon is (or was) prior to your whole team transferring out ?
