Az simply cannot keep going down the 1 or 2 year transfer pitcher mode.  The 2018 pitcher coming in Marissa Schuld, is only ranked like 140 something by Flo.  Scary.  I sure hope Bowen and Gilmore surprise everyone!

Yes, Candrea is "worshipped" in AZ when he's winning and vilified when losing. Example is the call for his retirement after losing to Baylor in supers. As i sat in those stands on Friday, we (fans) were simply looking past Baylor. Even the announcers and camera crew were expecting to pack up early and leave Saturday. While Baylor isn't an overpowering team, they were relentless and never gave up. For Cat fans, losing to Baylor wasn't even a thought. we all had our flights / cars / hotels reserved. We'll see how fall ball goes and who steps up to lead this team.

I was also there in the stands for the Baylor series.  All the pieces were there and once again, could not push through.  I still went to the wcws though regardless!

Scupino, you seem sensitive today. BTW, the Cats need an experienced pitcher right now alot more than they need an outfielder.

You are awful touchy today. And you say you know alot of the inside scoop. So you must know that Coach shouldn't care much what I think about his business. He does his job well. Rumor had it he was looking for a pitcher to transfer in, so if true, he already knows what you want me to tell him.

Recall a month or so back when folks were discussing a Fung transfer to the Cats and you said transfers from other schools were possibly involved in his search including LSU, Fresno State, and Auburn.

As you sat there, what were your thoughts on fan / coaches / teams expectations?  As for not being able to not push through, very well could've hinged upon some coaching decisions that ultimately backfired, or simply didn't respect the competition. Baylor didn't get there by accident, but Cats certainly looked past them to the WCWS.  Wished outcome was different, but unfortunately lowering expectations in the future.

Should be interesting to see how Dung handles Cats when she faces them pitching for Cal.  Either Candrea will look stupid for not picking her up or brilliant for letting her go to Cal.  Either way, she's playing and will get a degree that carries weight.

Maybe, but I think it was Scupino that said Dung's GPA precluded her from goint to Tucson. That's a bit puzzling, I thought Berkely was a brainy school with high academic standards...

Rumor on the streets has 2020 verbal Carlie Scupin out as a pitcher from recent back issue. She can pitch, but apparently wasn't recruited as a pitcher.

Yes, Cal is suppose to have high academic standards, however history has shown and proven student-athletes are given some wiggle room. A transfer 2 years ago was academically ineligible and recently have been told the same with their newest addition. So maybe they're offering additional course assistance to "help" them become eligible. We'll see if she's in the circle this year.

I dont actually believe Dung did not qualify academically, I think whoever posted it meant just didn't qualify to Candrea's standards for his needs?

I think zte was McQuillin's dad.  He never answered the direct question though and scupino is just a prickface if you approach him with questions.

If MC wanted to find a transfer and hit O'Toole paydirt, he should've gone toe-to-toe with FSU for Hanson.

I'm not so sure. MC brought in Trish Parks and he kept Stacie Chambers.

I'm saying Makayla may e the best potentially available RHP with DI experience to get the Cats where they want to be this coming season. It's not my problem if you have heartburn with that.

If I were you - and of course I'm not - I wouldn't let MC know you're posting hateful vitriol, if you have a vested interest in his program.
