Tiarra Davis and Erica Wright aren't that bad. If I remember correctly, Davis did lead UT to a super regional her freshman year.

It could happen, but probably not. I'm guessing it will be a close game.

Yeah, despite their record, I think the Horns beat Tennessee and another ranked team.

Davis and Wright may not be that bad but von Sprecken and Bolinger are better.

It's been a good minute since I've seen PvS pitch.  Was always shocked she went the USD route.

Maybe. I'll fold there. Having seen her in travel ball, I can't imagine a school like Cal couldn't have used her if education was the selling point.

I think they are not good versus lefties, even though they should be with having 2 lefty pitchers to get bp from.  More importantly, I think the FSU game traumatized them for some reason.  I mean the game went from Az having determination up until the point of the stupid error to a complete deflation...which I think carried over through the Texas series.

Well I might be overreacting but when you go from blowing doors to losing 1-0 to winning 3 very close games AT home to an unranked team, you gotta wonder where the heads are at?  Mauga has dropped way off, and the general batting averages have dropped off.

I guess I expected them to win much more decisively against Texas AT home.[smile]

Hey man, gotta respect your opponent. Texas strikes me as one of those programs that can beat anyone - anytime, anywhere. At 11W and 9L, the pollsters see something in the Horns because they are still getting votes.

Jayrot,

I think they're from Hartford, Connecticut (sp?). They're playing in a CSUN/LMU tourney in L.A.
