What happens if you try to add to this thread? Try a "test" in the thread called questions with a purpose.

Worth a shot...  I figured they would have done what they had to do after a few weeks.

If you are able to add to this thread, then I don't understand what problem you're having.

Before we figure this out - IronCajun - are you a liberal or a conservative? [wink]

I get this message if I try to comment on any thread, "Sorry! You don't have permission to perform this action. Your account will need to be approved before you have full access to the forums. You will be notified via email once your account has been reviewed."

I can create a thread, and comment only on those.

pabar- Obviously a liberal. Cannot communicate without approval. Places blind faith in another to solve his problems. Desires to join the masses in communal fashion.

Is additional affirmation needed? [biggrin]

Careful Bill I can delete posts inside here. Cajun, did you try a test in that other thread like I asked? What happened? I'm doing this via phone so it's a little difficult.

I tried in other posts... same deal there.

And that's good stuff, Bill...  Well played.

IronCajun - There is no prompt telling me there are posts pending approval so I guess that didn't work. Sorry.

Dewey- Do we need an insurrection or...I've asked more than a few times if the site is too much a burden, would step in rather than see it whither and/or fade away.

Thanks IronCajun...we do have humorous moments here in the Misc. Items portion of the forum. pabar61 gets credit for getting the ball rolling. As much as the two sides differ, our conservative and liberal voices do manage to yuck-it-up enough to keep the place interesting.

Good luck with getting you account properly in order. Perhaps so polite a prod will produce better managed access for those that come after you.

Bill - Thanks.  As you know my contact is now the middle man and I've shared these offers in the past.  He has phone contact with the moderator and has shared our problems at my request.  I did see WDIK online last night so maybe the ball is rolling.

Dewey, what the heck.  I am already moderating one or two sites and so, if you need help ...  BTW, in that way, I can make sure that the RIGHT position is presented on this site.  [biggrin]

CoachB - Thanks for the offer but I think those to my right are being heard loud and clear already.  I just hope we here in the misc forum aren't the reason the owner of the site is MIA, if you know what I mean. [wink]

So basically we have one liberal thanking another for a website that isn't functioning properly.

When did that ever happen before?! Hahahaha!

Otoh, maybe Dewey has so many accounts under other names he can only pat his own back in threads he starts now. That seems reasonable.

FIB - Always the political slant.  Btw, I've caught a few with multiple handles in the past and didn't out them by name.  In a couple of instances, I asked them to stop misleading the readers and they obliged.  I've used my cousin handle "huey" a couple of times to crack a joke but I assumed everyone was in on the gag.  I'll put it out there in the event somebody didn't catch on.

FiB- I think your website comment a funny one. Clever.

Multiple accounts? Oh please let's not...as some here have opined...crawl down that rabbit hole.

Hmm, I have never used another Nom de guerre. Am I lacking as a poster by not using multiple handles like some others? I mean I do argue with myself intellectually all the time, and more often than not, I come out on the losing side every time.

So you 'caught' them using multiple handles, exactly as the moderator does? How clever you must feel. Glad you came clean for the readers. Into, the rabbithole

kiir - I believe the rabbits who brought up multiple handles were ForeverInBlue and you, regarding EarlyGrayce.  Clearly there's some concern out there by the two of you.

There have been many over the years including you, you set the example it seems.  LMUfan was another that comes readily to mind.  The number is in the double digits for sure of the double handles.

edit:  I appreciate you owning up to using multiple handles because I am sure it did come as a surprise to some of the other double handles huey.

Humor for Bill related to the never-ending accusations that I delete posts.  Readers know it's been going on for many years.  Again, you guys are obsessed with me.  It is a little weird.

EarlyGrace-

Asked an answered...often.

Dewey did occasionally tidy the place deleting obvious spam. Accusations of censorship are wild misses at the dart board.

If I had that power...would have shaken the Etch-A-Sketch a few times.

If you stop and think about, the false accusations directed at me saying I delete other member's posts, (which I never have), is identical to candidate Trump making knowingly false accusations aimed at Democrats.  There's gain to be had in a lie, (denigrating and destroying the opposition for example), if one can successfully sell it.  I've seen cults convinced they should drink the poison, I've seen suicide bombers convinced they'll spend eternity with virgins, and now I may have just seen a Presidency won because too many voters were told the Democrat nominee was likely a criminal, she supposedly made racist comments in an email, and she backed a President who was supposedly illegitimately allowed to assume office despite being a foreigner.  Never accept false accusations as being harmless.  There's usually a very big purpose behind them.

What about a campaign paying people to cause violence?

What about an individuals privacy being violated by having personal financial information released?

What about countless women potentially making false claims?
