This, being jihadi style terrorism, has come America.

Fort Hood was terrorism. Boston Marathon was terrorism. (Not to mention 9/11, of course.) Just because Obama won't call these attacks terrorism doesn't mean they are not terrorism. Obama recently said the US war in Afghanistan was over, one month after signing a secret agreement to expand US operations in Afghanistan. Don't take your lead from Obama, he lives in an alternative universe.

In the real world, jihadi terrorism has come to the United States, and the world, as seen again today by the attack in Paris.

Brawl erupts at St. Louis City Hall hearing

[pic02]
DAILYKENN.com -- A crowd assembled inside the St. Louis City Hall to attend a hearing on the creation of a civilian review board so black residents could have a more direct line to police.

What ensued was a brawl as gullible white people learned the disparity between reality and Oprah's white guilt movies.

Before the year 2060 whites will be a minority in the United States.

See video below:

Please report typos...

It’s still unclear what started a brawl at St. Louis City Hall as the Board of Alderman took up a measure to implement a Civilian Oversight Board for city police.

Dozens of activists crammed into a hearing room to advocate for the creation of the board and to speak out against police injustice.

Some witnesses say Jeff Roorda, a former state legislator and now with the St. Louis Police Officers Association, shoved a woman in the gallery.

A commissioned officer was speaking when the chaos broke out.

“I was literally just trying to leave the meeting and I got caught in whatever Roorda and Kennedy had going on in their exchange,” Cachet Currie, the woman who claims she was pushed, told KMOV-TV. “Roorda just jumped out into the aisle, pushed me over, and tried to get to Kennedy. I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, don’t push me.’ Then he started going off on me, pushing me. Some man grabbed me by the hair, just started trying to throw punches at me. From there it just went wild.”

Roorda, who was wearing an “I Am Darren Wilson” bracelet at the meeting, called the meeting a “sham,” and said he never pushed Currie.

“As I tried to exit the aisle I was in, the woman was standing in the way,” Roorda told KMOV. “She began elbowing me and pushing, trying to keep me from getting out. As I tried to exit, she continued to do that. Two or three other anti-police radicals rushed over and things escalated from there.”

Roorda says he was upset that the committee heard from 35 “anti-police witnesses,” ridiculing police before an officer spoke.

“I tried to approach the podium to demand that my officers be treated with some dignity and respect,” he says, when the violence began.

He says his officers aren’t opposed to civilian review, just certain provisions, and he called protestors hypocritical.

“These very same officers are out there dodging bullets every night in what’s become – in the post-Ferguson era – a violent, deadly atmosphere of lawlessness.”

The meeting adjourned. Attempts to re-start it were unsuccessful.

Since I have been accused of being "anti-cop" by some on this board - totally erroneously, BTW - I guess we'll be hearing those charges thrown in Baltimore, too.  Oh, wait.....

"To the rank and file officers of the Baltimore city police department—please know that these accusations of these six officers are not an indictment on the entire force. I come from five generations of law enforcement. My father was an officer. My mother was an officer. Several of my aunts and uncles. My recently departed and beloved grandfather was one of the founding members of the first black police organization in Massachusetts. I can tell you that the actions of these officers will not and should not in any way damage the important working relationships between police and prosecutors as we continue to work together to reduce crime in Baltimore."

Her political aspirations and jumping in bed with Rev Racecard Sharpton speaks more to her current mindset then any family history.
Just yesterday the medical examiner said no evidence that it was inflicted by police and today she is charging the officers with a myriad of ridiculous crimes and saying the examiners report shows cause. They also said the report would not be made public. What changed overnight. Rev Al jumping into the fray.

spazsdad - I think the ME, or other sources, said no injury inflicted by police "during the arrest".

On Thursday, a Baltimore police investigation into Gray's death found no evidence he died as the result of injuries caused during his arrest, according to CNN affiliate WJLA, citing "multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the police findings."

The sources quoted by the Washington-based station said the medical examiner had determined Gray's death was caused by a catastrophic injury after he slammed into the back of the police transport van while inside it, "apparently breaking his neck; a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van."

Have you read the charges against the officers. They are comical and people have already said mostly unprovable other than he didn't have a seatbelt on. She is grandstanding to further her political career. The attorney for the habitual criminal is her mentor and political supporter. Can you say conflict of interest.

Exactly.

They built that case out of thin air.  Those cops were way overcharged and it will be shown.  They are compounding a travesty with a travesty of justice.  The grandstanding today by that woman will only slow her career, she is prostituting herself for Al Sharpton just as spazsdad said.  She was politicking today and you political junkies should have seen that, it's as obvious as the big nose on the collective libtard face.

keep denying, the one who cries "not me" the loudest is usually just what they deny.  I was going to bump the thread earlier this week and thought better of it until I see how Baltimore plays out.  I wish the whole police force would turn in their badges and leave the city under martial law.

That city doesn't deserve those cops, they took a lot of schitt Monday and should be commended under a city government that does not support them.

Off-duty Oak Park police officer shot in Chicago

Off-duty Oak Park police officer shot
Officer shot as he was leaving home on South Side heading to work in Oak Park, cops say

An off-duty Oak Park police officer was shot early Sunday on Chicago's South Side, according to authorities.

A family member said the 58-year-old officer was leaving for work when he was approached by two males armed with a gun in the alleyway behind his home in the 300 block of West 103rd Place.

There was an exchange of gunfire -- five or six shots -- and the officer was hit in his arm and leg, said the officer's grandson, 19-year-old Semaj Patterson.AT 9:49 AM MAY 03, 2015

"I knew it was him. I knew it was my grandfather because he leaves for work every morning at 5 in the morning," Patterson said.

Patterson said he ran down to the alleyway while his grandmother called police. He said his grandfather was alert and talking.

"He said he was all right. I just held him up because I saw he was shot in the leg," Patterson said. "(He's) always been a tough guy."

The gunmen fled the scene, and the officer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Patterson said. A short time later, police said two people were taken into custody in the 9900 block of South Princeton Avenue.

One person was taken away in an ambulance, and the other was taken away in handcuffs in an unmarked police car.

The victim is related to a Chicago Police officer, according to family.

Check back for more information.

Amazing that dietwatereddown coke, in her weekly post didn't have a word to say about the 25 year old murdered young policeman yesterday. Shot in the face by a felon. No comment, zip, nil, nada. But hey, let's whoop it up because Texans make you squeal like a pig.

Very tragic about the NY cop.  The killer is in custody and will be tried for murder.  Justice will be served.

(But tell me - what crime was he committing before the police approached?  He was adjusting his waistband.  Criminal activity?  In this case, the cops' "instinct" was right, he did have a weapon.  And we have lost a cop.)

What crime was Gray committing?  Making eye contact and running?  The coroner has ruled his death a homicide.  But his killer or killers should go free?  Just because they are cops?

You yourself said that the cop in the Walter Scott shooting was wrong.  Sometimes cops are wrong.  Sometimes cops are dirty.  Sometimes cops are murderers.  Why should they not be brought to justice?  Most - probably 99% or more - cops are honest, hard-working public servants.  But a few suffer from PTSD, a few are racists, a few are desensitized to violence and brutality, and a few are trigger-happy.  These few probably shouldn't be cops.  When an unarmed or innocent or non-violent citizen dies at the hand or under the watch of one of these few cops, do you really believe that it's OK?  That the cop should not be brought to justice?  And that someone is "anti-cop" if they believe that such cop should be prosecuted?

If you do, then you already have martial law.

I don't care if the victim is black, white or green.  I don't care if the killer is black, white or green.  I don't care if the victim is a cop or a "thug".  I don't care if the killer is a cop or a "thug".  Justice needs to be served.  If that's anti-cop, then you sure have a weird definition.

As an aside, I can see you probably agreeing with this Detroit prosecutor.

He was a felon in possession of a gun, against the law.  You libs want gun control but not when it's your voters.  Again, blaming the police typical anti-cop behavior

I presume this is OK with you?  And criticizing the practice is anti-cop?

We were talking about the felon in NYC and you went back to Baltimore. I'll talk about Baltimore on that thread but I will tell you that you presume incorrectly. 2 incorrects by you in a row, I wasn't in agreement with the Detroit prosecutor either.

P.s. You aren't very good at knowing what people think are you? You shouldn't be so active on the forum today with your blood pressure issues and all

It's a line in the sand people.  You gotta be on one side of the fence or the other on this one.  Fence-sitters don't get a pass, apathy supports cop killers.

There is a war on police and it is masked by those who say the cops are killers, that is how they mask their anti-police attitudes.  You are either FOR the cops or AGAINST them.  Same as if you were in a voting booth.

2 More cops dead overnight

EX:

"UPDATE 3: The Clarion-Ledger offers this chilling eyewitness account.

Hattiesburg residents Tamika Mills and Pearnell Roberts discovered the two officers who had been shot. The pair got out to check on the officers and called 9-1-1.

"Never in my life have I experienced or seen anything like this except on TV, and to be in the midst of it, it's shocking and heartbreaking," Mills said. "As we were coming down Fourth Street, we noticed a bunch of lights. As we came on through, (Roberts) told me to turn around because she saw somebody laying on the ground.

"So I backed up. That's when we noticed the officer was down. We just saw that one, but in the course of me being on the phone with 9-1-1, I turned and I saw another officer across the street rolling on the ground. (Roberts) ran across the street to check on him. He wasn't all the way alert but he asked her, 'Am I dying? I know I'm dying. Just hand me my walkie-talkie.'"

Almost twice as many police were killed in the line of duty in 2014 than in 2013. Up 89% in one year.

That should make us feel safer, right?

So these stories say that cops are not being targeted and killed, or is it just that they disagree with the percentages?

Probably so in 2013, seems 2014 & now 2015 tell a whole different story.

I guess 3 year old statistics work for you, but not for me.

Fact: Dewey calls this "spin."
